A plot understanding that convinces itself

I always thought that the three servants were trying to occupy the house and pretended to be haunted to achieve their purpose, until they found out that the three servants had died as early as 1891, and they were confused.

After reading the movie reviews of netizens, there were too many doubts, so I decided to brush it a second time to clear up a reasonable idea for myself.

Mom, siblings, servants, dad, I think they're all dead.

Needless to say, the three servants, mother and siblings should have died a week ago, because the original servant disappeared a week ago, and the postman and godfather have not come recently, because the people in this house have died. It's gone, so naturally it won't come.

As for the fact that the servants disappeared first and stimulated the mother, which led to the final tragedy, or the mother killed the child first and then committed suicide, so the servants left. I have not found any clues about this.

Here is an explanation of the background. During World War II, Jersey was occupied by the German army, and the occupation period was from May 1, 1940 to May 9, 1945. A young mother, whose husband is still alive and dead, and her two children who are frail and sick, lives in Nazi-occupied land, and is so sensitive that she becomes mentally insane, kills her children and then commits suicide, which makes sense. But my mother didn't want to face this fact after she died, partly because I can't believe she did such a thing, partly because of her religion.

The three servants are just revisiting the old place, trying their luck to see if they can meet the old master before. I didn't expect to encounter such a thing, why stay, maybe it is kind, and I want to help the three of them coexist peacefully with the living go down.

Why Victor can see his siblings and talk to his sister, I don't understand.

Dad should have died on the battlefield. He came back to see his wife and children. I don't understand why he left again.

This is the story of the living and the dead living in the same house in the same time dimension, and there is a certain degree of doubt about religious beliefs.

Overall, as a suspense movie, it's good.

I watched it years ago and watched it at home with a few friends. It is very creative, and I have loved the female pig's feet in the film ever since. Nicole Kidman's performance is really excellent

Another masterpiece by Alessandro Amamba, swept 8 awards at the Spanish Goya Awards (including best film, director, script, editing, photography, sound effects, etc.). Nicole Kidman performed very well, created an excellent atmosphere of suppression and secretiveness, and the ending was quite unexpected. (9.0/10)

Mrs. Mills: Beg your pardon, ma'am?

Grace: The girl. Was she born a mute?

    Mrs. Mills: No.

    [looks uncomfortable]

Mrs. Mills: I think I've finished here, ma'am. If you'll excuse me, I think I'll go and see if Mr. Tuttle needs a hand.

  • Charles: [enters Anne and Nicholas' bedroom]

    [quietly]

Charles: How are my little ones?

    Anne: [excited] Daddy!

    [she hugs Charles]

Anne: Why did you take so long?

Charles: [smiles when he sees Nicholas] Hello Nicholas.

    [Nicholas hugs him]

Anne: [to Nicholas] I told you, you see! I told you he'd come back!

Charles: [as he hugs the children] Have you both been well-behaved?

    Anne: We've been very good.
