The storyline of this film is nothing particularly novel, but it is full of contagiousness because of its authenticity. The director focuses on the narrative, and the real fight in the ring is just the point. In terms of actors, Christian Bale simply stole the show! You can see how much effort he has put into the role of Dicky, from appearance to accent, to every punk's expression is perfectly shaped, you can hardly believe this is the one who was Batman is criticized for lack of acting skills. Optimistic about Bale's involvement in this year's Oscar's Best Supporting Actor!
