Finally watched the long awaited "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street". As expected, very satisfying movie, although the story is really sad and a little disturbing, especially the ending. Met in

college Stephen Sondheim's work, I like it very much. And the stage version of Sweeney Todd's musical, I saw it in Hong Kong a few years ago, it was a performance by a local foreign troupe. The songs are all very good. Last year I learned about Tim Burton When I found Johnny Depp to make this film, I was very excited and looking forward to it.

And the original soundtrack was the first time I went to buy it without seeing the movie. Many netizens informed me that I bought an OST at HMV to get a movie ticket, so I bought a CD first. I listened to the movie several times and then went to watch the movie, which made me more immersed.

When I entered the theater, when I watched "Sweeney Todd", the feeling of waiting for my breath was the same as when I watched "My Blueberry Nights" last time, I didn't think about it for a minute Miss.

I have always liked Johnny Depp. Although I didn't match all his films, I always admired him. Not only is he handsome, but he also really understands acting. The most worthy of praise is that the OST was sung by the original cast of the movie, not Broadway. Stage actors, but they all sing really well. Even Helena Bonham Carter sings really well. And Alan Rickman is also my favorite actor. Almost forgot to mention, Sacha Baron Cohen (Signor) who played "Borat" (2006). Adolfo Pirelli) was also impressive this time around.

I've always been a fan of musicals, and I pay attention to the film adaptations of musicals, but not all. The film version of "Chicago" (2002) is better than the stage version. The film version of "The Producers" (2005)" Disappointing. "Hairspray" is entertaining, but I don't particularly like it. This time, "Sweeney Todd" is not inferior to the stage version, especially with Tim Burton and Johnny Depp, which is basically a guarantee

. It's not complicated, and the plot is smooth. The songs are not too many, just right, all are good. I like the "Johanna" the most. They

say that the movie is bloody and violent, yes, it is a bit, and I have to hide my eyes and avoid it more than once. Some scenes. I believe that children really don’t want to watch it, they will have nightmares. The

actors are all excellent, basically there is nothing to criticize, just pay attention to the bloody scenes.

The story is really sad, it is a tragedy in the world, and it is very touching Of course.

But the movie also has humor, especially Mrs. Lovett played by Helena Bonhan Carter sings the song, the picture is the part where she looks forward to the future with Sweeney Todd, which makes people laugh. After

all, it is a movie not to be missed. Good to see on the big screen.

The movie of the great director of the ghost is different. Fortunately, it was in 2007. I missed it for so long. Now I have finally appreciated it in the busy schedule. The gothic poems are miserable and gorgeous. There are not many normal people in the whole film. Hundreds of times, a bit exaggerated when killing, but this is enough energy!

From the moment of taking revenge as the meaning of life, the soul has been enshrined in the devil. The sword fell in his hand, and his tragic fate was doomed. Mrs. Rovet said that Lucy was no longer the original woman, she could not see clearly, and Todd was no longer the original Sweeney. Carrying the beloved woman in his arms, the barber, who has completed the long-standing mission, has finally dipped the silver razor with the blood gushing from his neck, and the barber, who is burdened with serious sins, has become the last sacrifice, which is also considered complete. The whole film is full of gorgeous cruelty, gloomy and full of tension, and some scene processing feels a bit abrupt. The music is great, I like pretty women and not while I'm around. Johnny Depp, as always, surprises people a lot. (00:40;01/05/09)

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street quotes

  • Mrs. Lovett: So what are we gonna do about the boy?

    Sweeney Todd: Send him up!

Mrs. Lovett: No, Mr. T. Surely one's enough for today. Besides, I was thinking of hiring the lad to help me run the shop. Your poor knees aren't what they used to be.

    Sweeney Todd: All right.

Mrs. Lovett: Of course, we're gonna have to stock up on the gin. Boy's drinking like a sailor.

  • Judge Turpin: I have news for you, my friend. In order to shield her from the evils of this world, I have decided to marry my dear Johanna.

Beadle: Ah, sir, happy news indeed.

Judge Turpin: Strange, though, when I offered myself to her, she showed a certain reluctance.

Beadle: [sings] Excuse me, my lord. / May I request, my lord, / Permission, my lord, to speak? / Forgive me if I suggest, my lord, / You're looking less than your best, my lord, / There's powder upon your vest, my lord, / And stubble upon your cheek. / And ladies, my lord, are weak.

Judge Turpin: Stubble, you say? Perhaps I am a little overhasty in the morning.

Beadle: [sings] Fret not though, my lord, / I know a place, my lord, / A barber, my lord, of skill. / Thus armed with a shaven face, my lord, / Some eau de cologne to brace my lord / And musk to enhance the chase, my lord, / You'll dazzle the girl until...

    Judge Turpin: Until?

Beadle: [sings] She bows to your every will.
