I wanted to watch this film when I saw the poster a long time ago, but I was afraid to start it because I was afraid.
During the Chinese New Year, I especially wanted to watch a tense movie, so I took it out. . . .
Love it, love it, like I did when I first saw the poster.
That room looked like a dead house in Edward Scissorhands.
I didn't expect that there would be an opera-like dialogue in it. After checking it,
the film was originally a Broadway musical and was made into a movie in 1926.
Forgive my ignorance.

If it is bloody, this film is not as violent as "Killer Ah Yi".
Tao De was very successful in the play, with cold eyes and meaningless expressions.
And the black eye frame of the proprietress of the pie shop is of the same kind as the later Todd,
but she has love, and because she fell in love with Todd, she also ruined herself when she made plans to do evil.
The cold tones of the whole film and the gothic architecture fascinated me.
I like it very much. I should start watching it earlier.

Johnny is very clever, and the song is not very good. He actually found that the little entourage was also playing a supporting role in the golden compass. It seems that he has an unlimited future when he grows up. I don't know which celebrity is behind?

First of all, Burton has a poor taste in music. Secondly, seeing Depp is always a model of neuroticism. Besides, the story is quite silly, one black is the most boring in the end

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street quotes

  • Mrs. Lovett: So what are we gonna do about the boy?

    Sweeney Todd: Send him up!

Mrs. Lovett: No, Mr. T. Surely one's enough for today. Besides, I was thinking of hiring the lad to help me run the shop. Your poor knees aren't what they used to be.

    Sweeney Todd: All right.

Mrs. Lovett: Of course, we're gonna have to stock up on the gin. Boy's drinking like a sailor.

  • Judge Turpin: I have news for you, my friend. In order to shield her from the evils of this world, I have decided to marry my dear Johanna.

Beadle: Ah, sir, happy news indeed.

Judge Turpin: Strange, though, when I offered myself to her, she showed a certain reluctance.

Beadle: [sings] Excuse me, my lord. / May I request, my lord, / Permission, my lord, to speak? / Forgive me if I suggest, my lord, / You're looking less than your best, my lord, / There's powder upon your vest, my lord, / And stubble upon your cheek. / And ladies, my lord, are weak.

Judge Turpin: Stubble, you say? Perhaps I am a little overhasty in the morning.

Beadle: [sings] Fret not though, my lord, / I know a place, my lord, / A barber, my lord, of skill. / Thus armed with a shaven face, my lord, / Some eau de cologne to brace my lord / And musk to enhance the chase, my lord, / You'll dazzle the girl until...

    Judge Turpin: Until?

Beadle: [sings] She bows to your every will.
