This is drama, this is reality.

In 2002, Saul in Breaking Bad was just JIMMY, a grassroots lawyer who went around to discuss cases, but that high hairline has never changed.
In the depressing flashback at the beginning of each episode, we know that JIMMY was originally just a gangster who made a living by cheating and then rehabilitated and took a correspondence law degree and passed the bar. After all, he is not a gangster, he is also a half intellectual. He has an older brother, CHUCK, who is a barrister, and he longs to become an upright lawyer with the help of chuck. But how could the screenwriter let him do so? So, Chuck, whom he respects the most, has been designing obstacles so that he cannot become a lawyer in a law firm, and can only make a living by making a will for the elderly. The reason turned out to be that the bullshit couldn't accept that a gangster in the past could be on an equal footing with him.
This is designed by the screenwriter, but doesn't it reflect reality? You used to be a jerk, I bail you out of jail, and you have to bow at my feet forever. I can endure the change that you are law-abiding and sending and receiving documents every day, but you are not allowed to become excellent, just for your poor vanity and spiritual cleanliness.
This is drama, and this is reality.
