Although I'm not a Jolie fan, I just want to say after watching this movie, Angelina Jolie's beauty is unparalleled, and the fairy tale adaptation is perfect.
The princess is still the pure and beautiful princess, but the queen is not the one who can only do bad things.
She also had a beautiful love and lived in a carefree magical forest. As much happiness as love brings her, it also brings her much pain. Betrayal plunges her into a deep resentment that leads to revenge.
The princess' innocent smile awakened the warmth in her heart, and she began to regret her curse.

She wants to protect the child.

The kiss of true love that finally awakened the princess did not come from that handsome foolish prince. But this "evil" godmother. She really loves this child.
That kiss is the most amazing and moving moment in the whole film.

All the supporting characters in the film are not pure. It subverts fairy tales, but leaves the audience with fairy tales in their hearts.

The king is no longer the kind and respected king, but a paranoid tortured by guilt and fear;
the elf is no longer a little girl with the face of an angel, but an old and stupid Obasan; the
prince is not Then there is the big hero who changed the ending, but a silly little Zhengtai;
only the image of the princess has not changed, as always, she is innocent and smiling, kind and beautiful.
But this princess has become cannon fodder in the eyes of the audience of this era.
What we love is this evil queen who has loved, hated, repented, and still has warmth in the end.
She is the purest, most down-to-earth, cutest, and most humane girl in our hearts.

    Narrator: So you see, the story is not quite as you were told, and I should know, for I was the one they called "Sleeping Beauty". In the end, my kingdom was united not by a hero or a villain, as legend had predicted, but by one who was both hero *and* villain. And her name was Maleficent.

  • Flittle: [as she, Knotgrass, and Thistlewit fly above the forest, on their way to finding Aurora] It's so good to be small again! Look at my *feet*! I love my tiny little *feet*!

    Knotgrass: Pay attention! We have to find Aurora, or the king will have our heads!
