a sadder story than a comedy

Although the progress of the story is undoubtedly tragic, it will never be full of tragic taste like the Korean drama "A Story More Sad Than Sadness". It seems to tell us that although they are young, they have seen through death. Not afraid of death but afraid of forgetting, so Augustine took out the funds to realize his dream and went to Amsterdam with his girlfriend to hold his own memorial service in advance. The elements of comedy tell us a story that is bound to be tragic.
The big boy Augustine in the play is undoubtedly the most attractive character in the play. He is terminally ill and is afraid that he will be forgotten after his death. He tries to help his buddy Isaac, who lost his girlfriend because of the removal of his eyeballs. He let Isaac smash his trophy out of anger. Since the amputation operation, he can no longer be a sports boy like before. He has said goodbye to his past and accepts his current self. Those past achievements are nothing, and others can't remember it because of it, so let the buddy smash it .
What's the point of being remembered? It's enough to be remembered by the people you love. Isn't this the meaning of life? The memorial service is not held for the dead, but for the living to let them remember the dead.

Hazel Grace Lancaster: Yes, this whole thing.

Hazel Grace Lancaster: Even though you have freaking cancer, you are willing to give money to corporation for a chance to acquire even more cancer? Let me just assure you that not being able to breathe? SUCKS. Totally disappointing. Totally.
