We are all afraid of losing and we are afraid of being forgotten

That's the thing about pain. It demands to be felt.
Your pain is to be felt.

Heather and August, both cancer patients. But they are not sick, they understand the hearts of themselves and those who love them, and they live without decadence.

When death comes, people generally think a lot. Fear of forgetting and being forgotten. I hope that I am remembered, I hope that someone knows that there is a "I" who came into this world.

Pain is terrible. What's more painful is the self-blame heartache of the person who loves you, watching but cannot be saved by your side.

Moved by Heather and August, that kind of power. As a movie watcher, I am very gratified that they met and shared with each other when they were dying. They knew each other and fell in love with each other. The short life is more meaningful because of each other. It is a kind of hope, a kind of luck, and a blessing. The stars are shining in the sky, the people on the grass make a wish to the sky, and the stars in the sky bless the people they love on the ground.

The most shocking thing is that after losing, you can live well and face the next stage of life with a smile. This is the hope of all those who have left for their loved ones, just like Heather's parents, smiling and weeping, said to their precious daughter, we are studying sociology, so that we can help more people. I believe that it is the most comforting thing for all those who suffer from illness.

I sincerely hope that there will be less pain in the world, so that everyone in every family can live happily in the world.

To live is a meaningful word. Different people have different understandings, but there is always one thing in common: living!

Isaac: You know, Gus talks about you all the time.

Hazel Grace Lancaster: We're just friends.

  • Hazel Grace Lancaster: Really? That's disgusting!

    Augustus Waters: What?

Hazel Grace Lancaster: What? Do you think that is cool? Or something? You just ruined the whole thing.

    Augustus Waters: The whole thing?

Hazel Grace Lancaster: Yes, this whole thing.

Hazel Grace Lancaster: Even though you have freaking cancer, you are willing to give money to corporation for a chance to acquire even more cancer? Let me just assure you that not being able to breathe? SUCKS. Totally disappointing. Totally.

Augustus Waters: They don't kill you unless you light them. And I've never lit one. It's a metaphor, see: you put the killing thing right between your teeth, but you don't give it the power to do its killing. A metaphor.
