Give my son a space

1 My father and I

never forgive, to blame, to accept the facts. In fact, until Sadik's death, Sadik's father didn't understand why his son was rebellious and why he ran away from home without hesitation. Using Sadik's death to bridge the gap between father and son, this cannot but say that this is another form of tragedy. This kind of script is still being performed in this world, because in the face of death, any form of ethical conflict must be compromised, and any form of contest has become meaningless. Death is the most deterrent and the most incompetent force.

2 My son

Sadik's feelings for him are reflected in many details. Of course, sometimes it is more of a kind of expectation. Put his favorite cartoon books next to his sleeping son, answer his son’s various questions seriously, extinguish and disperse the smoke before the son comes to the bedroom, and push him away when he realizes that he is about to fight with his father. I have told my father many times to give his son a space and so on. I believe these details are not deliberate. Sadik knows that the contradiction between him and his father is difficult to resolve. Therefore, in the education of his son, he has always reflected his personal thoughts: more independence and freedom, and try not to let his likes and dislikes have any impact on his son. Because Sadik understands: In addition to blood relationship and love, the maintenance of family affection also requires separate space. The premise of this space should be mutual understanding and non-interference.

3 About the movie itself

This is a movie that can impress many people, but it rarely wins at film festivals, and only won three small awards from local film festivals. (One is the public opinion award, and the other two are the sound effect awards), I think it may be the reason why the theme is not clear. Judging from the title, the theme should be family affection, the love between two pairs of father and son, and the love between grandpa and grandson. This theme is very clear, with lots of pen and ink. Another theme is freedom, that is, the choice of values, the conflict of values between fathers and sons. The third theme is state and nation. At the beginning of the film, because he could not call an ambulance, his wife died on the night of giving birth. All this was because a coup d’état paralyzed all medical systems. So, Sadik said to a friend later, "I used to think I was fighting for the country, but this country doesn't care at all." Reflection on the government is also one of the important themes. It is because there are a lot of themes that it dilutes what the film wants to express the most.
