humorous and deep comedy

There are already reviews that this is the most humorous and insightful comedy since last year's "Little Miss Sunshine". Thinking of Judd Apatow, the director who created the funniest movie "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" (40-year-old virgin) the previous summer, I went to the theater and sat in the empty theater at the premiere.
"Knocked Up" deserves full marks from many veteran film critics. This is a work that explores the conflict and fusion between the two concepts of "sex" and "love" among contemporary young men and women through an accidental pregnancy caused by a one-night stand. What is rare is the way the film is described lightly. The two-hour film is full of popular but "real" jokes, rather than boring, deliberate jokes; the seemingly simple story is closely linked but not limited to the process of "birth"; the two protagonists are in this heart. The critical moments of life are dominated by the germinating hormones and sense of responsibility, which are contrasted by the lives of their families and friends, and are also deeply and vividly excavated by the element of "comedy".

Knocked Up quotes

  • Jill: Oh, no, we're not asking you to lose weight. That would be illegal. We just want you to be healthy, by eating less. So go home, weigh yourself on a scale, write than down. Then subtract 20 from that number. And weigh that. Yeah.

  • Sadie: Where do babies come from?

Debbie: Where do you think they come from?

Sadie: Well. I think a stork, he umm, he drops it down and then, and then, a hole goes in your body and there's blood everywhere, coming out of your head and then you push your belly button and then your butt falls off and then you hold your butt and you have to dig and you find the little baby.

    Debbie: That's exactly right.
