Video Analysis
When it comes to movies related to magic, most people may immediately think of Nolan's "Deadly Magic" . This film cannot be compared with the former from any angle, but it still has a strong sense of mystery and enough suspense. Atmosphere, after all, magic itself is a mystery, and the decryption process is enough to make the audience reverie.
Like "Deadly Magic", the film also presents several wonderful magic tricks for you, but I prefer "Deadly Magic" because magic is not magic, whether it is a trick or a trick, it should be reasonably explained , and still can be very exciting. But some of the magic in "The Magician" has gone beyond normal and reasonable phenomena , and I personally don't like to use this method to deceive the audience.
Careful friends can easily find that several magic tricks in the film have their meaning and are gradual. The first magic, Eisenhan conjured the orange tree, which symbolizes the beginning of life. The second magic, Eisenhan, kills Sophie in the mirror, which symbolizes the end of life. The third magic, Eisenhan conjures the human soul, it symbolizes the rebirth of life. And I think these magic tricks are a brainwashing process for Ur.
Ur's birth is similar to that of Eisenhan, and he has come to this point with his own efforts. I believe he is also very confused, whether to be loyal to the prince or to justice, but Eisenhan's arrival tells him to be loyal to himself. soul . After a strong inner struggle, Ur made his choice. This is also the most important part of Eisenhan's layout. Otherwise, with the prince's power, where can Eisenhan escape? So this line of Ur is the one that I think is the most important in the film, because he is both a bystander like us and a participant.
At the end of the film, Ur laughed happily after learning that he was fooled. I couldn't understand it at first. According to the character logic, he should be angry. But after thinking about it, I think this laugh is his genuine admiration for Eisenhan and self-deprecating self-deprecating himself.
Because Ur has always been a magic fan, from the way he applauded the first time he watched Eisenhan, and the reluctance on his face when the prince asked him to stop the Eisenhan show, he could see that he was Inwardly, he wanted to stand on Eisenhan's side. He told the prince about Eisenhan because of duty, and reminded Eisenhan privately from the heart.
But he didn't expect that the people he admired would use him severely. He laughed at his stupidity and admitted Eisenhan's power. After all, everything Eisenhan did was under his own eyes, so he was deceived. Who can be blamed? Perhaps his laughter is also a portrayal of our audience. What else can we say besides saying "beautiful"?
A magic trick, no matter how beautifully crafted or how incredible it looks, is always fake.
