This movie was downloaded and watched, and I didn’t know it was Hayao Miyazaki’s work before, but it only took a few minutes to start, and the design of the scene and the performance of Asdacar moved me. Next, Asdakar was calm and mature in the face of his own destiny, showing his calmness about life and death and destiny, and he was really a perfect young man. Hayao Miyazaki must be a perfectionist because he is a very pessimistic person. Although this person is so perfect, after reading the whole article, I don't think it's fake, and I don't think it's the halo of the protagonist. I have to admit that Hayao Miyazaki's cartoons are really good, not only with truth, goodness and beauty, but also with ultimate thoughts such as fate, life and death.
All the participants in the movie, except for monks and samurai, are not bad people, and even have the qualities we admire such as bravery, kindness and trustworthiness, but they hate each other and fight to the death, they are all for their own basic Struggle for survival, their situation and fate seem to have been doomed from birth. In fact, most people are actually like this, not even aware of the issue of fate, but just go with the flow.
This 1997 work focuses on similar issues to Avatar many years later, and the depiction of the natural environment is very similar. I wonder if Cameron also borrowed the idea of this movie.
