The film "The Mechanic" released in 2011 was a remake of the 1972 film of the same name (translated as "Dragon Tiger Iron King Kong"), but the main storyline was rewritten and the relationship between the characters was slightly adjusted. Directed by Simon West and starring Jason Statham, Ben Foster, Tony Goldwyn and Donald Sutherland, a series about top hitman Arthur's killing of his former partner triggered a series of events. It tells the story of a top killer who carries out the orders of his boss with the apprentice he has cultivated. A methodical killer leads a wayward and impulsive rookie into a bloody world. The film is director Simon West's second action movie in a decade after 2001's Tomb Raider.
