The art of cinema, the redemption of the self

I heard about this movie a long time ago, with suspenseful reasoning and a high score. I suddenly watched it today and felt that the director and editor thought it was very powerful.
From the beginning, through the description of the murder outside the window, and the flashlight of the security guard, they all thought that the security guard was also killed. The protagonist, a completely heinous murderer, attracted the audience.
But the painting style of the next frame changed. The director looked for the comfort of a call girl every night through his body's weight loss, the death of his mother, and a mechanical accident. He couldn't help but give the male protagonist great sympathy. It is difficult to imagine the heinous murder. The crime will be linked to this thin male protagonist.
The director also used some suspenseful factors, such as Route 66, the weight loss, the sticky notes on the refrigerator, driving past the same scene, and the bloody things in the refrigerator, to make this suspenseful movie exquisite.
Of course, the ending is not difficult to guess. Friends who have seen the split personality movie can probably guess the mysterious person in this movie. At the end of the film, the male protagonist finally recalled his past, regretted it, found his conscience, and chose self-redemption.
Finally, I lay on the stone bed at the last moment of the film, and finally got the sleep I deserved.
In fact, many people will be curious about whether the hero will be euthanized in his sleep at the end of the film. I remember he had a conversation with a call girl once, have you ever seen someone die from insomnia? Here I am looking forward to the male protagonist being euthanized in his sleep and getting his own soul redemption.
