The "Speed and Passion" series has already shown a bottleneck that is difficult to break through. Plot revolving lights, cool driving skills, and intense action are the consistent features of the entire series. However, after the feature reaches a certain period of time, there is no subversive change or the feeling that the audience shines, which means that the series is coming to an end. "The Fast and the Furious" certainly can't escape such a fate.
At present, the audience has not yet entered the aesthetic fatigue period of "Fast and Furious", but has begun to enter a state of being critical. But "Super 7" has a special meaning because of Paul's regrets, and Wen Ziren is also very smart, integrating Paul's departure and his memory into the film. Especially in the ending part, Paul Walker and Vin Diesel on the road side by side, followed by Walker's previous scenes of "The Fast and the Furious" were handled quite beautifully, which attracted a lot of sighs from loyal fans.
But aside from these, the criticism of "Fast 7" is also quite obvious. The director, Wen Ziren, is a smart Chinese director who is good at shooting ghost movies. The previous works performed well, and because of this, I got the opportunity to shoot "Fast 7". However, action films are still different from ghost films. The film can see that the director is trying his best to continue the characteristics of the work, and he wants to put his own mark on it. However, the ideal is beautiful, and the reality is fortunately not cruel, thanks to Paul.
The biggest problem, as mentioned above, is innovation. The 7th part of the series has been filmed, and it seems that there is not much left for the new gameplay of car skills. As for the plot, it has always been a simple and rude route. However, when the two problems are stacked together, it is not so simple. "Fast 7", which is not fresh, left a cavity of blood and racing, very boring, uninteresting, and very boring and uninteresting.
In order to avoid the boredom of the audience, Wen Ziren made some changes in the style and added a lot of scenes of hand-to-hand combat between the two. To be honest, Director Wen still has a lot of ideas. Each part of the action scenes and the drag racing sections are worth appreciating separately. Although there is not much innovation, the sense of rhythm and lens design are really eye-catching. I don't know if it's because the story really has nothing to tell. These beautiful scenes are densely filled in the whole film, forming a phenomenon of constant climax.
The climax must have ups and downs in order to feel exciting and exciting. Too frequent will reduce the pleasure of climax. From the beginning of the film to the end of the mission, "Fast 7" is like a modified car galloping at high speed, so uncontrollable that it is almost out of control. After watching a show, it is quite hard to keep the adrenaline rising all the time. If it is not a die-hard fan, it will be broken for the first time.
The other issue is that Jason Statham plays the Avenger Carter Shaw in it, which is a bizarre clue. It seems that the theme of revenge is actually good. The showdown between Jason Statham's murderous monster and the speeding party block man is quite dramatic, but a third party from a mysterious organization intervenes to mix revenge with the mission. As a result, revenge is just the relationship between Jason Statham and Vin Diesel, but not Jason Statham's harem. Without pure revenge, of course, there will be no sexy selling point, and it is reasonable to reduce the degree of excitement.
Now that "Fast 8" has been finalized, I don't know who will accompany Vin Diesel on the road next, and I don't know if the audience can accept this new partner, and whether the plot and driving skills will abandon the cramming style. Eye-catching, one by one unknown came. The biggest suspense is, will the audience still have patience?
