Why do we come to fight other people's wars? How often do we enter other people's countries in disguise with seemingly just and humanitarian slogans? Do you think that if Aidid is captured, we will rest assured of our weapons and accept the so-called American democracy? In fact, only victory is peace in the hearts of Somalis!
Wars, whether just or unjust, only bring about killings, and those who suffer will always be the people living in the war zone! No one on the battlefield wants to be a hero, the times create heroes! Most people in Somalia do not understand why the Americans are coming, and why they are coming with guns and cannons, so the United States has become the object of resistance from the whole city.
There are so many scenes in the film, which are particularly shocking. In the cafe, two Somali girls aged 3-4 looked ignorantly at a group of US troops rushing in and out! No one cares where they stand, their parents? One by one American soldiers hid in a house, and the woman who lived there surrounded the terrified child tightly around her. The woman was extremely helpless, and no one cared what the woman thought! 6-7 kids, that's a lot. When the American soldier walked to the back door and escaped the machine gun fire, he turned around and found the boy who had killed his father by mistake. No one cared what the boy thought, how miserable his life would be, living under the shadow of killing his own father! From the perspective of the United States, the film only reflects what the United States has done, and does not give too much expression to the Somali people!
Finally, when the U.S. military left the enemy area and walked to the Palestinian military area, the children running in front, the people cheering on both sides, and the water cups were brought up. I think it was a welcome back!
