The dictator Aidid stole relief supplies from international organizations and declared war on international peacekeeping organizations. The United States sent 160 special forces members to Mogadishu to overthrow Aidid's regime. The actions of the two high-ranking officials of the German regime were met with stubborn resistance from the Somali militia.
A black hawk was shot down in the city center, and the special forces started a series of great rescues, but more lives were lost as a result. There are many touching details. I still remember the moment when the sergeant was captured and beaten by the enemy. Then, what he was holding and looking for was a photo of his wife and children. He still remembered that a soldier was shot, his artery was bleeding heavily, and he had no morphine, so he could only open up his already bloody body with a few people and clamped the artery with clips. Yet his young life was lost on the battlefield, and his last words were, please tell my parents how brave I was. In the end, the surviving XX said a word to him, no one wants to be a hero.
In the face of war, how fragile life is. This film reminds me of the time when China was invaded, my wife and son were separated, and I endured humiliation. At this time, I deeply felt happiness because I didn’t have to worry about losing my life all the time.
To live, there is hope.
