Look at the war from the point of view of the Somali people: our country has had years of civil war, famine, starved to death, and killed. Your rich, civilized democracies send food, wipe out warlords, and want to bring us peace and order? But if you don't have enough to eat yourself, will you give food to us? If we want to leave this country, will you accept us like brother and sister? We have been born here, and we can only die here, you can't change it. This is an inequality brought about from birth. As for how to die, we think we have the final say! Whether you are good or bad, you have trampled on our humble self-esteem.
It's like a slave owner showing mercy to his slaves: I want to set you free.
But is this freedom the same as the freedom of slave owners?
