Guided reading
This movie is a fantasy movie.
Similar, I have also seen
The Lord of the Rings trilogy for adults;
The seven Harry Potter books for all ages;
We will not discuss science fiction such as "Transformers" for the time being.
It's a bit of a fairy tale.
The production is slightly worse than the previous two.
But it's a good fairy tale.
01 Plot combing
The story takes place during World War II, when the Germans bombed London, England. For safety, the four Pevensie children were placed with a professor.
In the professor's Dabieye, there is a wardrobe in an empty room. When the four children were playing hide-and-seek, the youngest Lucy accidentally broke into the room and entered the closet.
Behind the wardrobe is a beautiful world of ice and snow called Narnia.
By chance, the four children later entered the wardrobe and came to Narnia.
It coincides with Narnia being ruled by brutal witches.
The story after that is that the four children and another king of Narnia: Aslan (a lion with magical magic), unite with the people of Narnia to overthrow the rule of witches.
After the victory of the war, the witch was bitten to death by Aslan (there is no camera), and the four children became the four kings of Narnia with their own territory.
Aslan was temporarily out of sight.
After many years, they gradually grew up.
During a hunt, they found their way home and returned to their wardrobes, back to their old childlike appearances.
02 Four children
The four children have distinct personalities, one by one, which can be compared to Journey to the West.
1. Peter the eldest symbolizes the sublime
He is the king with the highest status. As the eldest brother, he protects his younger siblings all the time, much like Sun Wukong.
He acts decisively and steadfastly, so he can be a good leader.
Tang Seng is more like uniting the people around him, doing things more cautiously and kindly. He is a leader in the Xitian Jingjing team.
The leadership styles of the two are very different. Peter is a person who doesn't talk much, while Tang Seng is a person who is not harsh and talks a lot.
2. The second child Susan symbolizes tenderness
The word gentleness, if too hard, becomes cowardly, a good man, indifferent to the world. If used properly, it will be soft on the outside and firm on the inside, which can bring people the strength to move forward.
Obviously, Susan doesn't belong to both, she is a bit like the character of the sand monk.
She belongs to the conservative group. When a troublesome issue or a risky decision is made, her first reaction is always to deny the radical approach, and how to be cautious.
When Narnia is in danger, her first reaction is to run, because she doesn't belong here, and she doesn't need to pay for anyone here. It is her choice to walk or not.
I don't know if you have ever met such a person, it's none of your business.
It seems very rational, but in fact every step is for their own consideration. They don't have a strong sense of belief, which leads to very limited heights they can reach.
3. The third Edmund symbolizes justice
No one believed the youngest Lucy when she came out of Narnia and described the magical world behind the closet she saw.
By chance, Edmund and Lucy entered the closet together and came to Narnia, but they were separated.
Lucy goes to her sheep friend.
And the third Edmund met a vicious witch. The witch told him that if he could bring all his family in, she could give Edmund everything he wanted - Turkish Delight, the throne of Narnia, and so on.
Apparently, the witch was lying to him. He didn't ask for his family to be brought in, it was purely coincidence that the others came to Narnia.
However, as soon as he arrived in Narnia, he sold his teammates for his Turkish Delight.
He exposes the hiding places of his siblings, causing them to be hunted by witches.
At present, he is more in line with Zhu Bajie's character, and he can easily betray his teammates for his own selfish interests.
However, this character has also changed the most before and after.
Don't forget, four people must be together to subdue the witch.
After he was rescued, the character's development line changed immediately. He became a member of Narnia, and he was willing to give his life for Narnia.
Because in Narnia, everything is not black and white, it is a very inclusive world.
4. The youngest Lucy symbolizes bravery
She was the one who first discovered the magic wardrobe. She is the youngest, with the strongest sense of faith and the least scruples. She can provide a lot of help to her brothers and sisters at a young age.
Innocent, lively and kind, she has brought unprecedented warmth to people, so people sheep are willing to protect her.
In this world full of fairy tales, Lucy is the little princess who is spoiled by everyone.
03 Conclusion
Narnia itself is a fairy tale world, and you don't even see blood in the film.
It's a beautiful world in memory~
