If you don't compare it with "The Lord of the Rings", you will undoubtedly be disappointed. The spirit of "The Lord of the Rings" can be met but not sought after.
It's a comparison with "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" and "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory". The adaptation of Harry Potter, the plot is stretched, and the details are greatly reduced. The chocolate factory incorporates too many modern industrial elements, like a bizarre disco, losing the simplicity of a fairy tale. Only Narnia can be considered authentic, and even people who haven't read the original can enjoy a complete and interesting story. Personally, I even think that the movie is more interesting than the novel. The description of the inner growth of the characters is more delicate. Although the bridges used are very old-fashioned, it is still very beautiful.
