Just as long as you stand by me

One summer in the Oregon countryside, four 12-year-old boys decided to hike along the railroad tracks to the other side of the river to find the body of the boy who had been missing for a long time in the town.

This movie based on Stephen King's novel is far less terrifying than it sounds. In fact, on the contrary, from the script to the photography to the performance, this film is permeated with precious simplicity and simplicity (I love the filming of this film). Especially in today's environment where many films prefer to dance with demons, this purity from the 1980s is even more valuable and refreshing.

That is the age when the hearts of young people are too easily broken.
Chris, who came from a rogue family, was judged by the adults in the town as a young man who brought up his own children just because of his disgraceful background; Gordie, a sensitive boy, was ignored by his parents since he was a child due to his excellent brother. The untimely death of his brother has been suffering; Teddy, whose father is seriously mentally ill, has scars left by his father's ears when he was ill;

That's when friendship comes at no added cost.
Friends, it's nothing more than sharing the same cheap cigarettes, insulting each other without getting angry, and playing "Flash Train", a stupid game that simply vents hormones. Unknown journey ahead, you accompany me.
This is a friendship that begins with the beginning of the year. In the face of sudden youth, everyone is equal. No matter what kind of story we are carrying, we are as weak as we are caught off guard. Companionship is the only thing we can give our friends.
The road ahead is long, and I hope to reach the original destination together. It was only later that I learned that, just like a fork in the railroad tracks, there are people who follow along all the way, and there are always people who are separated at the intersection.
The boys who used to play shirtless together in the river eventually drifted away; the friends who once lent you thin shoulders to wipe your nose and tears, and listened to your telling about what was on your mind, seldom contacted in the end. But you know, you miss them. Because of them, you are not alone on the bumpy road you must go through.

"I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does any one?"
In life, there are people who stop and stay, and there are people who get lost, but you will never forget the journey without seeing the road ahead, Who was there to accompany you.

PS. River Phoenix and this film are really a bit inexplicable. . . I didn't expect that the clear and simple boy in the movie would become so enchanting and upside down when he grew up. He had a beautiful appearance and still retained his aura acting skills. He was only 23 years old, and this person who could have more dazzling achievements died like this. In Depp's bar. . Now the children born in the 1990s don't even know him. . . In addition, I really can't accept Will Wheaton, the beautiful beauty in the film, who is the wretched uncle who bullied Sheldon in TBBT. . .

    No friends at the age of 12 will be gone in this life.

    The melancholy, lonely and confused about youth and growth that the whole movie wants to express is all in the eyes of River Phoenix.
