For the makeup techniques and special effects of that era, this film has done a very good job. The metal and silver texture of the Tin Man's body is done very well, and the green face of the bad witch also has a strange horror because of the immaturity of this stunt. Here, I also pay tribute to the hard work and dedication of the actors.

Enough is also done in terms of color, from Donosey's red shoes to the green walls of the Emerald City, the contrasting colors are impressive.

But Judy Garland didn't impress me too much, because my attention was drawn to the scarecrow, and Ray Bolger's performance was very real, especially when he danced, the details such as the scarecrow's limp hands and feet were all lost. It showed, it was great. Relatively speaking, Jialan's innocence and bravery are in the nature of children, and the lion's performance, probably due to the makeup, is really a bit embarrassing~~

Music, Over the rainbow, is an eternal classic.

The movies of that era now look so rough with makeup, but the core of the movie is not outdated at all. The actors' acting skills are first-rate. As a musical, the rainbow song is even more popular. The combination of scarecrow, tin man, lion, and girl makes the plot. Lively and smoothly, the villains Western Wicked Witch and Flying Monkey also perform well

The Wizard of Oz quotes

  • The Wicked Witch of the West: Helping the little lady along are you, my fine gentlemen? Well stay away from her!

    [points to Scarecrow]

The Wicked Witch of the West: Or I'll stuff a mattress with you!

    [to Tin Man]

The Wicked Witch of the West: And you! I'll use you for a beehive. Here Scarecrow, wanna play ball?

[throws a ball of fire at Scarecrow who yelps and jumps back; Tin Man smothers it with his funnel hat]

  • The Wizard of Oz: You are talking to a man who has laughed in the face of death, sneered at doom and chuckled at catastrophe. I was petrified.
