It takes 140 words to post, so I'll just copy the short comment: Romantic and simple What strikes me the most is that Elliott has always wanted ET to stay, but has been helping him get home. Skittles, saving frogs, and riding a bicycle are all great, and the poster is the biggest spoiler...
There is no craftsmanship in the plot setting, but this kind of simplicity attracts me. Maybe it is because of this that it is easier to be moved by watching this story as an adult. The three acts structure is obvious, and the up and down between the sequences is also handled very well. What is moving is imagination and kindness. I hope to write such works in the future.
