It's really an early sci-fi movie. I watched it because of its fame. Even though it has been nearly forty years, its plot still stands the test. Finger-to-finger really became a classic move. It's trust and love. Aliens can actually represent the unknown. Human beings are afraid of the unknown. Many movies also describe how humans solve this problem. If they cannot control it, they will be eliminated. They are afraid because of the unknown. This movie is mainly about the interaction between children and ET. They will be afraid when they first meet ET, but they accept it quickly and are friendly. This is the kind nature of children.
