History will repeat itself in a spiral over and over again, it is better to stop and sit in an orchard at the right time

4.5 stars. The plot is sexy and exciting. The plot is exaggerated and fancy, but it is sincere. The four protagonists have accumulated a lot. The topic of the film is actually very serious, but the filming is very fun~ Human beings are healed and the scars forget the pain.

[Introduced from the perspective of "prophet" - how did they discover it]
1. Some people found the signs from the numbers:
Dr. Burry was really smart to find the problem from the data, and he used 500M CDS to go short
" Mark is studying so hard because he's looking for inconsistencies in the word of God!" "So has he found any?" The mother's answer hahaha

Hahaha, this paragraph is crazy~

2. Another part of the market research:
1) to people: past due notice found that the landlord owed the mortgage for three months, and the name of the dog was used for registration.
2) to banks: all ninja loans have come out, and you can also borrow to buy a house without proof of income. These are all signs
. 3) Private prostitutes: There are five properties that have been refinanced.
Finally came to a solid conclusion "Hey, there's a bubble"
4) Rating agencies such as Standard & Poor's and Moody's: If you don't give a 3A rating to a bank, go to a competitor. I didn't expect you to be such a Moody's~!
5) Media: There are problems even if you are as big as WSJ

[the film is very fun]
For example, Dr. Burry, the one-eyed soul drummer who listened to music and didn't go to the toilet; Mark's subordinate who was scared to pee by the crocodile that
suddenly appeared; The
parent company, morgan stanley, had a dazed expression on his face;
Mark gave a speech while watching the prophecy come true - Bell's stock plummeted;
"Do you smell that? I smell money."
Quoted by Mark Twain and Haruki Murakami The sentences all fit the theme; in
the end, what was the punishment for wallstreet? blablabla's little magic fairy fantasy. Well, just kidding.

【Work&Home】
Michael Burry and Mark treat their families, and still Michael can work separately from work
:
"Yes honey, yeah baby, all fine"
"I met my wife on match.com. My profile said that I'm a medical student with only one eye, an awkward social manner and 145 thousand dollars in student loans. She wrote back, you're just what I've been looking for.
People choose authorities to tell them how to value things. But not because of facts or results. They chose it because it seems authoritative, and familiar! And I'm not, and never have been...familiar.
So I 've come to the solemn realization that I must close down the fund.
Sincerely, Michael J. Burry MD."

All in all, it's fascinating to put in and stick to the right stuff for a long time.
Although history repeats itself over and over again, the current is moving very slowly.
Some of the comments at the end of the film are quite touching. Some of them have shaped themselves after the big change; some days are like a wheel moving forward normally; some cases are still ridiculed for trying to fight evil with good things; Give back to the society, but no one cares.
Well, c'est la vie. By contrast, the "Know 100 percent" outsider Ben lives with his wife on a large orchard, they have plenty of seeds is most touching.

The Big Short quotes

  • Casey: What am I supposed to do? Write a piece called "We're all fucked"?

    Charlie Geller: Yes! That's a perfect title!

  • Vinnie Daniel: How are you fucking us?

    Jared Vennett: When you come for the payday, I'm gonna rip your eyes out. I'm gonna make a fortune. The good news is Vinnie, you're not going to care cause you're gonna make so much money. That's what I get out of it. Wanna know what you get out of it? You get the ice cream, the hot fudge, the banana and the nuts. Right now I get the sprinkles, and ya - if this goes thru, I get the cherry. But you get the sundae Vinny. You get the sundae.

    Vinnie Daniel: All right. I buy that. Thank you.
