Philosopher boy and 17 year old mom

A house, a mother, a son, the mother gave birth to a little boy with the prisoner after being imprisoned for 2 years.
5 years, in the room, the little boy is used to being in a space, accustomed to shelter, accustomed to fairy tales.
For 7 years, in the room, the mother used to endure for the little boy, and used to leave the last vitamin tablet for her son.
In the room, my mother wanted to escape, to return to the beautiful real world of her 17-year-old memory.
In the room, the son didn't want to escape, he just wanted to stay in the small wardrobe that he had lived for 5 years from childhood to adulthood.

However, the end of the story is always what you can't think of

outside the room. In the real world, the

mother is lost, and the beauty in the memory is fragmented.
But the little boy accepted the world step by step.

In my heart, the little boy is my philosophical boy acting prodigy. All the performances are so natural, even though I always thought he was a little girl at the beginning, because he has long hair that has been growing since he was born.

The little boy has always been quiet, but he has such a power that he later saves his mother.

No spoilers! Watching the whole movie, everyone feels like a big family when they are young, but you really grow up. When I came back from home, I felt that my home was so small again.
Feeling homesick all of a sudden, right?
But always leave to grow, right?

The hello at the beginning and the goodbye at the end are also a sign of your own growth!

BTW, the room's lead actress, Brie Larson, won the 2016 Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Drama Series.

Room quotes

  • Old Nick: What's that smell?

Ma: Sorry, I burned some cheese. Here. I just wasn't thinking.

Old Nick: Well, thinking is not your strong suit.

  • Ma: [about the mouse] He's on the other side of this wall.

    Jack: What other side?

Ma: Jack, there's two sides to everything.

    Jack: Not on an octagon.

    Ma: Yeah, but...

Jack: [Interrupts] An octagon has eight sides

Ma: But a wall, okay, a wall's like this, see? And we're on the inside and mouse is on the outside.

    Jack: In outer space?

Ma: No, in the world. It's much closer than outer space.

    Jack: I can't see the outside-side.

Ma: Listen, I know that I told you something else before, but you were much younger. I didn't think that you could understand, but now you're so old, you're so smart. I know that you can get this. Where do you think that old Nick gets our food?

    Jack: From TV by magic!
