Yes, I know after 2006, Disney and Pixar have been a family. But in my opinion, Disney is Disney and Pixar is Pixar. Unfortunately, Brave, a princess film that lacks originality and is full of Disney flavor, makes me suspect that the bloated Disney is quickly eating away at Pixar's creativity and passion. Therefore, although judging from the news before the release, "Wreck King" has the potential of high-quality animation, but for a company that can be "strong" enough to influence Pixar, "Wreck King" may be its vulgarity. The different packaging of the family carnival may even be a game version of the princess movie. The only surprise for me may be those familiar game characters, but after the surprise, it may be that these familiar characters suddenly start to sing and dance— —You know, this is a Disney cartoon, and it is more difficult to get the characters in Disney cartoons not to sing and dance.
After watching the movie, I realized that it wasn't just the big-name game characters who had a glimpse of the soy sauce that surprised me. Yes, the film is very family-friendly, but it's not vulgar; it has a nostalgic beginning, but most of the film is original. In other words, this cartoon, which may focus on nostalgia, is not caught in a simple old character drama. Go, as if the director Ricky Moore said in your ear, we make you nostalgic, but that's not the point; and there is no bridge that I can't bear to dance and sing. All very comfortable.
Due to the advantages of the game as the background, this cartoon presents a variety of styles. The beginning of the whole film is dominated by the game world where the King of Destruction is located. Although this eight-bit game has a lot of surprises after three-dimensionalization, the actions of the dragon characters and the occasional square pixel elements are not only nostalgic, but also more exciting. Most of it is a kind of humor; when it comes to the game of "Heroic Mission", the game is closer to the production of the real world, so that this part presents a large-scale temperament; the final candy world is a beautiful mess, and what is even more commendable is that This beautiful and dazzling world, this part with a strong Disney style, brings us not Rapunzel on a white horse, but a racing scene no less than "Cars". It can be said that if you only look at the animation from the production of racing scenes, "Cars" can rank first, and "Invincible Destruction King" can completely rank 1.5. Although the film is a family fun at the end, the film has twists and turns - in terms of cartoons - the game characters are wonderfully intertwined, and a little suspense is added. Isn't that enough for an animation? As for the screen production of the film, I won't say much, just watch it and know the effect.
Well, I can't find more words to praise this film. I can only shout: beautiful! nice! Too beautiful! But this is a fucking cartoon with no jumping lights, only the title of the castle. It's so unscientific to be so good-looking. I even wonder if Pixar and Disney got the wrong book from each other. This film should have been a work of jumping lights.
Well, let's not worry about that. Disney can sweep away the old fashion and come up with such a work that is comparable to Pixar, which is a good thing for animation fans in any case. Moreover, John Lasseter is now not only the core of Pixar, but also the core of Disney. As one of the producers of Wreck, it's a no-brainer to bring the essence of Pixar to Disney -- which is why Wreck and Toy Story are somewhat similar. Just hope this integration is forever, not a "temporary stay".
The next Oscars should give "Invincible Destruction King" a seat.
