But the imagery is probably the only good thing about this movie, one that has nothing to do with the story itself.
The story itself is pretty laggy from the very beginning when Alice goes to that engagement tea party, and for a long time after Alice finally falls down the rabbit hole, a bunch of monsters are there arguing about whether Alice is really prophesied to save the world. Alice... In the end, Alice went from a timid 13-year-old girl to a heroine who killed the ace, the jabberwocky. As for why Alice wants to save the world and how she gained courage and strength, there is a vacancy in the plot that can only be filled by the audience's imagination.
Then there is what the red and white are fighting in the battle, I don't really understand, I feel that because the queen of hearts is ruined, the white side wants to defeat the red side to save the world. But in the whole movie, apart from the red and white castles and the dilapidated villa of johny depp, I never saw any other houses, let alone oppressed people. I would rather say that the Queen of Hearts playing a golf ball made by hedgehogs with a turkey in the garden is too boring every day, so I went to play with White. ⋯
