Aside from the horror plot, I think one of the core of this story is how a calm person is driven crazy step by step and willing to break his feet to survive.
During the viewing process, I felt that the plot was compact, the imagination (brutality) was extraordinary, and the script was commendable. So I practiced the basic skills of retelling the plot from memory, and then modified it according to the film as follows.
Chainsaw: Script structure from memory
1. The key fell in the bathtub
2. In the dark, Adam wakes up and finds himself trapped. Someone answered, and the other trapped man turned on the light: they were in the toilet chained at each end, and in the middle lay a dead body with a suicide headshot. B calmly introduces himself as a doctor.
3. Adam found something in his pocket, and so did the doctor. The two tried the key, but couldn't open the chain. Listening to the tape, the doctor reminds to use clothes or something to reach the tape recorder in the corpse's hand .
4. Adam plays the tape, and the mastermind behind the scenes knows that he is a voyeur, saying that the blood of the corpse in front of him is highly poisonous and he can only commit suicide. Adam also played B's tape, B can only save his wife and daughter by killing Adam within the time limit.
5. B noticed that there was a follow your heart in the tape. They found a heart painted on the toilet, Adam digging up the feces, and later found a plastic bag in the tank. Inside were two chainsaws.
6. The two saw for a long time and failed. Adam threw the saw and broke the corner of the mirror. B realizes that the killer didn't want them to saw off the chain but his own feet.
7. The doctor was once suspected of being the murderer, and he told some stories-
8. Site 1. Black and Chinese police officers witnessed a tragic incident in which the deceased died on the barbed wire and lost too much blood. The tapes in the hands of the dead require an old man to walk through barbed wire to survive.
9. Site 2. The police faced the charred body, and the murderer asked the deceased, who was covered in flammable objects, to hold a candle to find the password for his safe.
10. Ward. The doctor was speaking to the students about a patient named John when a cleaner interjected to correct the name.
11. Doctor's office, lawyer's office. The doctor was called by the police to ask where he went last night because his flashlight was left at the scene. The doctor reluctantly said
12. Interrogation room. Police questioned asking doctors to listen to the interrogation of the only victim alive. Victims tell stories -
13. Scene 3: The woman woke up with a mask over her mouth. The TV next to it sounded. In the video, the murderer wore a mask and told her to find the key from the belly of the corpse. The murderer showed how the mask would tear her upper and lower jaws apart. The woman jumped in fear and pulled the rope, and the timer started. The woman removed the clothes of the person on the ground, drew an X, and just picked up the knife, the person woke up... The woman started frantically, took out the mask key from her bloody stomach, and unlocked herself. The door opened, and a masked doll riding a bicycle congratulated her and cherished her life in the future.
14. Police station. Woman admits killer changed her and she was on drugs.
15. (Ask the doctor for knowing more) Adam found out from the mirror fragment that it was double-sided, and smashed the glass to reveal a camera.
16. Somewhere, surveillance is watching two people's every move.
17. (The doctor advised Adam to calm down and look for clues. Adam reminded the doctor to think about his wife and daughter. The doctor said that I was thinking.) The doctor talked about the last time he met his daughter——
18. The doctor's house. The daughter was afraid to say that there were people in her house, and the doctor comforted her and replied that she would never leave them behind.
19. The doctor threw his wallet to Adam and showed pictures of his wife and daughter. When it came to the last photo of the three of them, Adam found that the photo had been replaced with a photo of his wife and daughter being kidnapped at the moment, and a clue about X was written on the back. In order not to stimulate the doctor to kill himself, Adam quietly left this photo when returning the wallet, falsely claiming that it was taken away. (The doctor rummages through the photos)
20. The doctor quarreled with his wife before going out. He wanted to kiss his wife but was rejected. The doctor went out.
21. (Following) Daughter found an eye staring at her. Daughter and wife were subdued by the murderer and tied to the corner of the bed. The killer used a stethoscope to admire the changes in his daughter's heartbeat when he put a gun to his mother's head. The killer looked out the window.
22. Telescope perspective, someone is watching the doctor's window, it's a black policeman. Black cop whispers (I shouldn't let you go)
23. A misleading clip suggests a black cop may be the murderer.
24, flash circuit edge. Black cops let the doctor go, hostilely tell the doctor there's a pedophile on the street with you.
25. Police Office. Black people are watching video. He called back the Chinese who were going for coffee and found the clue. With regional graffiti in the background on the videotape, and the faint sound of an alarm bell from the ambient sound, they searched for the most recent fire records. Decided to raid that night.
26. Two police officers found the murderer's residence, lifted the red cloth on the table, and found a model of the toilet; opened another piece, and found a mask dummy; opened it again, and found a tied man. The killer was about to return at this time, and the police went into hiding. The murderer appeared, the police pointed a gun at him, the murderer stepped on the switch, and the electric drill drilled into the victim's brain. In a panic, the Chinese police went to rescue people, and the black policeman was attacked and his neck was cut. The Chinese smashed the electric drill with the gun and chased out. At the corner, he shot at the running shadow. During the pursuit, he touched the trap. The shotgun on the ceiling shot him in the head, and the murderer got up and ran. black police officer stumbles downstairs
27. Police residences. Scar on black policeman's neck. Black cops are obsessed with catching criminals and regret letting them go.
28. Adam hid the photo in the bathtub and was in a daze. The doctor asked him to keep communicating and find a way. Adam offered to turn off the lights. After turning off the lights, I found X clues behind the doctor, which contained a cigarette lighter, a bullet, and a mobile phone. Adam wanted to smoke, the doctor said how dare you smoke this stuff. The doctor found that the mobile phone could only answer calls but not play.
29. Parking lot. The doctor came down to find a flash of light. He parked the car and found that the payphone couldn't get out. Murderer card vision from behind the car pounces on the doctor like a beast. The doctor saw the note, suggesting the use of cigarettes to kill.
30. The doctor was surprised how Adam knew to turn off the lights, Adam was gossiping. The doctor didn't believe it, so Adam had to throw the photo of his wife and daughter to the doctor. The doctor cried and thought. Realize that cigarettes are not poisonous but blood on the ground is poisonous.
31. The doctor thought of a way, and asked Adam to act with him under the black light. The doctor handed Adam a non-toxic cigarette, and Adam pretended to fall to the ground and die. The doctor yelled at the camera. At this time, electricity came from the shackles, and Adam was woken up. The doctor saw the chains in desperation.
32. Adam remembers how he got caught. I went home to wash the doctor's photos, and suddenly found that the battery was out, someone. He uses flash lighting to see the situation. A dark door opened, and a dozen flashes showed the killer.
33. The clock passed, the doctor got a call, his daughter cried to him, his wife told the doctor not to trust Adam, he always knew you. The phone hangs up and the doctor makes useless threats to the camera. Immediately question Adam. Adam confessed that he was hired to film him secretly, including knowing that the doctor was cheating on him last night. The doctor's story answered why it came out in a short time after going in -
34. Hotel. The doctor entered the door and asked the lover why he still called home at the appointed time. He told the lover that we should not continue. This is the phone ringing, the killer is on the phone to scare the doctor.
35. The doctor asked Adam if he saw the appearance of the employer (the murderer). Adam told the doctor that it was just the black policeman who was suspicious of the doctor.
36. The doctor lay on the ground and looked at the photos, wondering why he was facing this.
37. A wife who comforts her daughter will always protect her.
38. Adam's photo shows the killer being a cleaner, and he yells angrily at the camera. Time is running out.
39. The cleaner stared at the monitor and heard this, he got up and went to the bedroom.
40. The wife quietly broke free from the rope. The cleaner came in and asked his wife to inform the doctor that the time of death was coming. The doctor answered the phone. The wife took the opportunity to grab the gun and pointed at the murderer, but the murderer launched an attack while the daughter was shouting. The black police rushed to the scene when they saw the fire, and the doctor heard all this on the phone. The wife grabbed the dagger from the drawer and stabbed it in the murderer's leg. The wife picked up her daughter and ran away. The doctor listened to this and cried in despair. Black police officers rushed to the scene and had a shootout with cleaners. Black police officers were smashed by vases. The cleaners drove to the back room.
41. When the time came, the doctor was electrocuted and foamed at the mouth. Adam yells.
42. Montage. The car roared. The janitor with a broken leg entered the hallway, and the police chased him. The doctor woke up, the phone was ringing, but the doctor couldn't reach it. He finally got mad and started sawing his own feet... The police and cleaners grabbed their guns, and the black police were destroyed.
43. The doctor sawed off his own leg, and his face was pale and not like a human being. Adam prayed that the doctor put the only bullet into the gun of the corpse and knocked down Adam.
44. The doctor's house. My daughter and wife are all right and they are taken care of.
45. When the cleaner enters the door, the doctor begs for mercy, but the cleaner still wants to kill the doctor, saying that this is the rule. Adam suddenly woke up and put the cleaner under his feet and smashed the cleaner to death with the toilet lid. The doctor told Adam that he just hit the shoulder and you'll be fine, and he crawled out the door for help.
46. Adam found the same tape recorder on the cleaner, who was only forced to kidnap his wife and daughter. This is the corpse on the ground getting up and taking off the special effects makeup that was shot by the head. It is the bald murderer who appeared before. Adam realized that he was looking for a gun, and the killer used the remote control to electrocute Adam. The killer closed the door and left.
