A story about "redemption"

Comments are for series I-IV.

I have to say that the posters of this series are really ugly. Coupled with the unmatched Chinese name translation "Chainsaw Horror". I didn't hesitate to include it in the plethora of mediocre horror films - ugly, strong, perverted killers who hunt down a bunch of people and die together at the end. When I watched Cube yesterday, I saw that netizens mentioned and praised SAW in the comments. I just found it again, so I had this wonderful encounter. The overall level of this series is still relatively high, both in terms of plot and connotation. Even if the middle two tend to be vulgar, those two are still above average.

Let's talk about movies. This series tells a story about redemption. "Salvation" is a Chinese word, but this concept is not found in China, it is a completely imported word. It has to do with religion, Christianity to be exact. It's probably related to the story of Paradise Lost and "original sin" - people are born guilty and need to do something to be forgiven by God at the Last Judgment, which is probably understandable. This concept has a profound impact in Western society, and for those devout Christians, the whole life is a process of self-salvation. As for those who are not devout, they are also subtly influenced to some extent, just like the current Chinese people are to Confucianism. Some thinkers have apparently been influenced by this, such as the pessimistic Mr. Schopenhauer's pessimism about life. There is no such idea in China since ancient times. The only popular ideas in the society are Confucianism, cultivating harmony, Taoism, and Buddhist reincarnation. These ideas have no interpretive effect on the motto of "cherish one's own life" in the film. Fortunately, we received a lot of Soviet works at a certain period, and there is actually such an element in the deep and solemn Russians. The most famous is Paul's famous quote: "The most precious thing for people is life. Life is only once for everyone, so how should this one-time life be spent..." This kind of thinking is almost a doomsday judgment the taste. This identification with this idea is the basis for the survival of this series. What some people might find fascinating is the plot and the shots, but I think that's just superficial. It's not that it's not important, these two are almost the key to a movie's appeal, but these two are superficial after all.

Let's go back to the movie again, the above paragraph again digresses. The reason for the story is actually explained in the first part. When John learned that he had cancer, his time was short, and he was depressed and even thought about suicide, but he failed. So he sensed that it was a signal from God to keep him alive. As a result, his outlook on life and world outlook has been strengthened, and his sympathetic hope can help others get "redemption". This is not an easy task, because those people have long forgotten the meaning of life. So there is a design that is in a desperate situation, almost a desperate situation, so that those people can instinctively think about the meaning of life when facing death. This ingenious idea is far more novel than the bizarre killing methods in the film, the meticulous consideration of details. That's why I think I and IV are good. In the first part, John, who was sympathetic to the world, put forward the slogan of "cherish life" with deafness. In the fourth part, this idea was spread like a virus. Whether it is the creation of the first part or the inheritance of the fourth part, this kind of thinking of "saving lives" will shock the heart deep in the heart. While one might insist that the twists and turns and thrilling scenes of torture, howls and blood evokes good feelings about the film. Why are the second and third not as good as one and four? On the surface, there are too many flaws in the second plot, and many irrationalities weaken the shock of the story. As for the third, the plot is too simple, and there are not many twists and turns to be explored. But looking at this series with intuition, you can find that the second is emphasizing the "rules of the game"; and the "third", arranging a game of forgiveness is a good choice. Forgiving other people's sins to regenerate him is actually keeping yourself away from hatred be reborn. But the doctor's forced participation disrupted the system, plus Amanda's relationship with John. At the beginning, Amanda, as John's chief disciple, designed several games that went against John's spirit. This one is really annoying Can't figure it out. Simply put, the looseness of thought leads to the looseness of the plot, which leads to the mediocreness of the two middle parts.

All that said, I'm still not talking about movies.
This style is good, will keep it in the future.
