In the West at the end of the 19th century, Neil Young's music full of death breath, the journey of a fragile man's death, I like the appearance of the story, although I don't know where the nightmare came from.
Black and white images are a bit weird. At the end of the nineteenth century, accountant Blick came to the desolate west with a letter of appointment, but the job at Diggs Hardware Factory was replaced. The nightmare started like this: when she met a beautiful woman, she was suddenly shot by her boyfriend, Blick shot her boyfriend to death and began to flee.
How wonderful to escape!
The woman's boyfriend, the boss of Diggs Hardware Factory, hunted down Blick with a bounty of 500. Blick encountered an indigenous "no one" abandoned by his tribe, who thought he was the British poet of the same name.
No one helped him escape, and the accountant Blick’s poem was written in blood.
Typical Western film title, desolate withered trees, gloomy sky, abandoned boats and rivers, the ruins of the burning Indian haylofts, the bones of the companions who were gnawed away... Under the slow narrative rhythm of Jamush, But it's a black poetic journey, you go on the road together.
When Neil Young's music came once, Blick confronted death once.
People in crisis will not fear nightmares. Death is another form of travel.
Although the film has an obvious surreal style and symbolic color, the story is still compact and the rhythm is natural and poetic. Jiamuxu easily finds a balance between the structure of the story and the capture of the core of the poem.
This is a movie of three decadent men, the young Johnny Depp, the poetic independent director Jim Jarmusch, and the dark country musician Neil Young.
