I used to think that the Normandy landing was the most dangerous situation for American soldiers on the European battlefield of World War II. I didn't expect that a group of paratroopers would land behind enemy lines in advance a few hours before them. The comrades pulled out the enemy's artillery to cover their landing.
If the soldiers who landed on the beach are not strong, then the fate of this group of paratroopers may be the annihilation of the entire army. But even so, the soldiers of Company E, as well as countless American soldiers, still suffered heavy casualties in the ensuing war. We must pay tribute to this group of soldiers and this company of brothers. It was their sacrifice and unyielding efforts that brought victory in World War II.
We may admire Winters, the leader of E Company, fear the ruthless and dependable Speer, despise the cowardly and incompetent Captain Daek, and admire the fearless Bull, but in all likelihood we will be Bloys in battle , the poor man struggling in the war.
I am also really grateful to Director Stephen and Tom Hanks and the entire crew of the Brotherhood for bringing us a near-real battlefield and an epic of human nature in war.
"Paratroopers are meant to be surrounded." -Captain Winters
