Spoiler: What you're seeing is not a movie where the monster Godzilla ravages the earth, but a story where the monster Godzilla tracks down another pair of male and female monsters and destroys them to save the planet! After watching the movie, I was so surprised that my jaw dropped. The director wanted to make Godzilla an earth hero Ultraman who did good deeds without leaving his name! Five volumes!
The early Godzilla movies had profound nuclear reflections, and there are many elements in this one: social crisis, ideology, family reunion, righteousness, defending the family and the country. However, I wanted to talk about all kinds of elements, but in the end, I didn't talk about anything neatly, and several lines ended hastily. The SB behavior of some characters (Japanese doctor, American army) is difficult to understand, such as shocking monsters, transporting missiles, etc. I thought the old man could be a bit more arrogant, but he hung up quietly after a while. He thought that his son could carry the banner of the male protagonist, but in the end, apart from setting the fire, he tasted all the elements in his hands. I don't know whether to blame the director or the actors.
Talk about the advantages. The most attractive part of this film is that it maintains enough mystery for the advancement of the story, and the rendering of the atmosphere is the film's greatest success. At the same time, the sound effects of the movie are superb, with Godzilla's deafening roar, terrifying and adrenaline rush. The soundtrack of the movie can be described as a scream, which obviously feels like an imitation and adaptation of the classic soundtrack in the classic Godzilla movie, giving people a sense of suppressed fear. In particular, the fusion of Japanese music elements always reminds everyone of the origin of Godzilla.
Finally, let's talk about the visual effects. The destruction of San Francisco, Honolulu and other cities is a spectacular shot, which is really a brainless person's enjoyment. I was impressed by the apocalyptic feel of the city of ashes created by the Air Force parachuting. All of it is not lacking in the visual department blockbuster.
Finally: Godzilla even has Ultraman's unique trick: the laser column, he is too TMD like Ultraman!
