Change the script and make "Mission Impossible" a suspense film

I watched it after hearing from friends that this film was very suspenseful. A little disappointed. It is a classic of action movies, but it is a bit reluctant to say it is a suspense movie - the director did not consciously mislead the audience, leaving a lot of clues that can be understood when watching the movie, and the plot is not complicated. I'm used to watching David Fincher's movies, and I've read a lot of Agatha's novels, so the taste is inevitably a bit heavy...

When the protagonist opens the title page of the Bible, he sees the name of the hotel to which the book belongs, and replays Jim's group meeting at the beginning of the film. Speaking of where he was staying, and the fact that his wife was still alive later, it was basically certain that Jim was JOB, and his wife might be an accomplice.

Later, when Tom recreates the scene in his imagination, we can know that Tom already knew that Terrell (Jim's wife) was an accomplice, but for emotional reasons, he still fantasized that she was not involved in this matter. He couldn't help but make people sweat for him. This woman might use his weakness to kill him at a critical moment. It's a pity that the film is too gentle, and the woman showed her conscience at the last moment, which made the whole film only stay in the category of action films, with a Hollywood-style happy ending.

It is better for everyone to rewrite the script of this film, add some suspense and black into it, and make it a real suspense film.
According to my personal opinion, the rewriting principles are:
1. First of all, the protagonist should not be too smart. The smarter the protagonist, the more clear and boring the audience will see. The protagonist is trying to track down the truth according to his own speculation, but in the end he finds out that he is under the control of others. He is just a pawn. What Ben Hua wanted to express in "Will and Representation" is that the world operates according to its objective laws, the will of man is also a part of the natural world, all accidents are inevitable, and man is a man, not a god. In this way, the aftertaste and thinking of the film will be more intense.
2. Don't leave too many obvious clues. All valuable clues will pass by and hide in a certain shot, but don't consciously emphasize it. After the film is over, the viewers have a little understanding, and after watching it again, they suddenly realize. Of course, it can't be too obscure, and it can't tease the audience too much. The script of Qu Gao and Widow is box office poison.
3. The final BOSS should always stay in the audience's sight. After the audience sees it, they feel that the more acquaintances they are, the more dangerous it is. This will have a deterrent effect. Moreover, the portrayal of the human nature of the final boss should be strengthened, and he was also manipulated invisibly, and finally ended in a cup, which aroused the sympathy and emotion of the audience.

Someday I find someone with good writing skills to write the script, no matter how badly written, it is estimated that it will be better than last year's 213 movie "Desperate Island".

  • Ethan Hunt: [after crawling through the ventilation tunnel above the vault just before entering the vault] Krieger, from this point on... absolute silence!

  • Eugene Kittridge: [Aquarium/Restaurant] I think we've lost enough agents for one night.

Ethan Hunt: You mean, *I've* lost enough agents for one night.

Eugene Kittridge: You seem hell-bent on blaming yourself, Ethan.

Ethan Hunt: Who else is left?

Eugene Kittridge: Yeah. I see your point.
