Just watched "American Gangster", the combination of the two leading actors can be said to be very good and powerful, the content is also very pornographic and violent, and the plot structure has a feeling of deja vu, somewhat like "The Godfather". Maybe it was because I couldn't deeply appreciate the complex backgrounds of the Vietnam War and racial conflicts in the United States in the 1970s, and I didn't bring a sense of immersion. I felt that there was nothing special about the whole film. Seems like there's only one Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress (that old granny)...
