'X-Men: Apocalypse': On the Real Reason Magneto's Revolt

Compared with the negative reviews of film critics at the North American preview, after watching the film, I felt that it exceeded my expectations. Although it did not reach the height of "X-Men: First Class" and "X-Men: Days of Future Past", the film still By telling a wonderful story, the task was successfully completed.

The world's oldest mutant, Apocalypse, was resurrected in Egypt, summoning the "Four Horsemen of Apocalypse", including Magneto, Storm, Psylocke, and Angel, in an attempt to destroy the world and rebuild a new one. And the righteous X-Men headed by Professor X and Mystique will naturally not let Apocalypse succeed, so a battle of good and evil begins again.

The seemingly invincible Apocalypse is actually a big boss with "developed limbs and simple mind". Not only did he choose the wrong opponent, but even more stupidly, he chose the wrong teammate, which led to Magneto's rebellion in the end, and was defeated by Phoenix Girl and Magneto, Storm, Cyclops and others joined forces to eliminate.

The relationship between Professor X and Magneto love and kill each other is further strengthened in this film. When there is a common enemy, the two always agree to the outside world, and when there is no foreign enemy, the two always fight non-stop.

Of course, Apocalypse itself also has a physique of hatred. As soon as he wakes up, he has to study and absorb all the knowledge of thousands of years.

And this time, the reason for Magneto's rebellion may not be as simple as the recovery of the concept of justice. Under the in-depth interpretation, there may be several things that have planted the seeds of hatred in Magneto's heart.

First, Magneto, who witnessed the murder of his wife and daughter, wanted to kill his co-workers the first thing he did after he was blackened. As a result, Apocalypse killed these co-workers first, without giving Magneto a chance to be handsome.

Second, Magneto questioned Apocalypse, where was Apocalypse when his parents were killed. Apocalypse actually said "I'm in a deep sleep" in an understatement. How could Magneto trust such a sleepy person?

This is still a small case. What really disgusts Magneto is the following two points.

Third, when Professor X and Magneto were chatting in the air, it would be fine for Apocalypse to eavesdrop on the privacy. He even forced Magneto to go offline and open a private chat mode with the X-Men.

Fourth, in order to steal Professor X's ability, Apocalypse chose the most unacceptable method of Magneto: the mad Apocalypse actually wanted to sleep Professor X. It's called Chuan Gong, but it's actually rubbing oil. The man who dares to rob me of Magneto, is it tolerable or unbearable?

Finally, this became the last straw that overwhelmed Magneto.

At the end of the film, Magneto and Professor X ended their affectionate dialogue. After Magneto left with a smile, I understood that the story is not over, and the fate will continue.

Charles Xavier: [to Storm] You're not comfortable with all this, are you? You're not like them.

Ororo Munroe: Don't try to get in my head.

Charles Xavier: I don't have to read your mind to know what it is you're thinking. You're not a killer.

Ororo Munroe: You don't know me. You didn't grow up in a place where superstition and dark religion hold a lot more sway than your degrees, Professor. I barely survived my own village, my own family. They all thought I was a curse on the Earth.

Charles Xavier: Are you going to prove them right? Are you going to prove them right?

    Jubilee: Beverly Hills.

Kurt Wagner: Ah, the hills! It must be beautiful, I've never been to the mountains.
