Weakening the boss and emphasizing the path of the protagonist

First of all I have to say that this X-men is not as good as I thought.
As a fan of the series, I've always liked the close connection between the work before and after. Especially since the second generation began to seamlessly connect the history of the real world, this shooting method has a feeling that these people and things are actually by your side. After reversing the future like a god, I bought tickets for the zero-point premiere with very high expectations, but I didn't expect this work to be so indifferent that I couldn't remember its connection with previous works. It's a step-by-step superhero movie that's nowhere near the average for the X-men series.
Apocalypse's cartoon setting and movie setting are quite strong. If he is really the Lord and the sun god as he said, wouldn't it be a simple task to destroy the earth, why should he send a bunch of nuclear bombs into the sky? Why should Lao Wan engage in electromagnetic field effects that do not conform to physical logic? I can only think of one explanation. Like the Avengers studio next door, Marvel is deliberately weakening the Boss so that the audience can better focus on the protagonist. However, no matter how weak it is, this is the first shape-shifting person in history, who has evolved and reincarnated countless times, and such a sloppy ending is a bit unacceptable.
In addition, FOX's portrayal of characters is indeed more than a little weaker than Marvel's own performance in Team America 3. It is also a group show. Every character played in Team America 3, regardless of the length of time and the number of scenes, can make the audience feel a real sense of existence. However, apart from the professor and Lao Wan, the only ones with a strong presence in this film are Quicksilver, who is still in charge of the comedy, and Jean, who debuted as a young man for the first time.
As a Game of thrones fan watching this X-men, the center of attention can never escape Sophie. In addition, Uncle Wolf's appearance did not say a word and killed a bloody road all the way out, which is also very surprising. But for me, it is still very sad to see that Uncle Wolf's claws are still turned into steel claws or that he is caught and transformed... Obviously, the timeline has been restarted in the last part, and the Easter egg shows that Uncle Wolf was picked up. It should also be Mystique, why can't escape the fate of being transformed. I can't help but jump to a theory from the last few episodes of GoT that even if you have the ability to go back in time, the ink is dry and the history that has been written can't really be changed, it's like throwing a stone into a river , and eventually the water will return to calm. So in the end, when Jean solved the apocalypse as a hidden secret weapon and released her unreserved power, did she also imply that in the future timeline, she would also be swallowed up by her dark side?
There are many reasons why I like this movie, and there is only one reason why I think it is not good enough, that is, the expectations are too high. In my heart, this series should be more profound and more moving.

Charles Xavier: [to Storm] You're not comfortable with all this, are you? You're not like them.

Ororo Munroe: Don't try to get in my head.

Charles Xavier: I don't have to read your mind to know what it is you're thinking. You're not a killer.

Ororo Munroe: You don't know me. You didn't grow up in a place where superstition and dark religion hold a lot more sway than your degrees, Professor. I barely survived my own village, my own family. They all thought I was a curse on the Earth.

Charles Xavier: Are you going to prove them right? Are you going to prove them right?

Kurt Wagner: Where are you from?

    Jubilee: Beverly Hills.

Kurt Wagner: Ah, the hills! It must be beautiful, I've never been to the mountains.
