interesting life

I haven't had the courage to watch this film history classic, because I don't like the title. When I saw the title, I thought it was a movie describing the political situation and the means of popular elections, and I decided that it was boring to me.
After watching it in its entirety, I didn't feel good or bad, I could say I didn't feel anything at all. The 1941 film is no longer new.
In my opinion, "Citizen Kane" is quite ordinary. It is nothing more than a very rich rich man who is hard to find soulmates, has lost love and lacks family affection. He has always wanted to find the joy of childhood when his parents are by his side, but finally Die painfully in memory. I do feel sorry for Kane after his rage over the loss of his lover.
The reason why I am not so fond of this film is that I feel that both rich and poor need the power of love. Kane being dumped by everyone is so dramatic, no one is really isolated, not to mention he's a tycoon. Moreover, no one's family is completely perfect, and there will always be problems, big or small; each person has a family relationship that is not completely healthy and conforms to psychological standards in childhood, which makes each person's temperament different. For life to be interesting, there needs to be problems and contradictions. As an adult, Kane had a smooth first half of his life and a successful career. If he only knew the taste of success all his life, his life would be too boring.

Citizen Kane quotes

  • [Susan is leaving Kane]

Charles Foster Kane: [pleading] Don't go, Susan. You mustn't go. You can't do this to me.

Susan Alexander Kane: I see. So it's YOU who this is being done to. It's not me at all. Not how I feel. Not what it means to me.

    [laughs]

Susan Alexander Kane: I can't do this to you?

    [odd smile]

Susan Alexander Kane: Oh, yes I can.

  • [On Kane finishing Leland's bad review of Susan's opera singing]

Mr. Bernstein: Everybody knows that story, Mr. Leland. But why did he do it? How could a man write a notice like that?

Jedediah Leland: You just don't know Charlie. He thought that by finishing that notice he could show me he was an honest man. He was always trying to prove something. The whole thing about Susie being an opera singer, that was trying to prove something. You know what the headline was the day before the election, "Candidate Kane found in love nest with quote, singer, unquote." He was gonna take the quotes off the singer.
