rick is a heartless bastard to a large extent, but no one has his compassion, he is more awake than anyone, and therefore more miserable than anyone, so he calls for help in the most lighthearted tone: I am in pain, Please help me.
Morty's biggest shortcoming is fear, and its biggest advantage is mediocrity. Just like every rick needs a morty to balance his state, why does morty need a rick to break the so-called normal world.
One of them is a real and bizarre world, the other is a false and ordinary world, you can't say which is more bizarre. You just ate a salad, mixed with metaphors and philosophies, with sarcasm and silliness. Clean and hygienic.
