The title is clearly a reference to "The Lawnmower men". This is a science fiction film written by Stephen King. The replacement of Men with Dog in the title, on the one hand, corresponds to the transformation of the objects in this episode. In fact, it expresses what is the difference between men and dog, which are both discriminated against by the public; on the other hand, it is an extension, Dog The ending is to go to a smart planet with only dogs, and the ending of men is not so happy. The reason for this may be that the subconscious is changed, or the collective subconscious of humans and dogs has different orientations towards value. (Humans have an obsessive pursuit of power).
A branch line in the drama is to spoof the settings in "Inception". Although Rick is talking nonsense, the spoof is definitely a performance that is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people.
In order to give Morty time to go on adventures with him, Rick needs to implant the idea of Morty getting an A in mathematics into the minds of the math teachers, and he needs to make them feel that they are their own ideas.
A teacher watching a variety show before going to bed "ran into" the hostess of the flight attendant variety show on the plane in his dream, instead of flirting in a public place (the plane and the classroom are both closed public places).
Rick threatened his teacher Gordon Ford with a repeat of 9/11. In reality, Americans must have painful memories of 9/11. Not wanting to have a very different behavioral decision-making method in Gordon Foer's dream (here is based on Freud's theory), he directly shoots RM with a gun in a more brutal way. Individual heroism must have been suppressed for a long time in the collective subconscious. Here is the first rule: killing the protagonist of the dream wakes up all those who enter the dream, while others who die in the dream are truly dead.
But when the heroine he likes is taken as a hostage, his subconscious starts to panic and starts to flee. This is Gordon Buddha's unwillingness to hurt the person he likes. In the next scene, everyone is thrown out of the plane, only the heroine has a parachute to prove it. Gordon Buddha prepared a mechanical arm below to catch the heroine, and let RM fall into the lava.
In a hurry, RM can only enter the dream of the variety show heroine. Here is the second rule: the time in the dream is 100 times slower than the outside.
The second layer of dreams is a masquerade party. Unlike Rick, the conscious Morty is quite restrained here.
He also met his sister Xia Mo here, and Rick explained that the teacher Gordon Buddha had a subconscious mind about Xia Mo. If so, the idea must have been formed in the conscious and then suppressed to the subconscious. How likely is this?
This layer of dream is the continuation of the first layer of dream flirting of teacher Gordon Buddha. Such a scene echoes the sexy posters in his home, and it definitely reflects his psychological activities.
But Xia Mo's dialogue is definitely not the teacher's psychological activity (love each other's family), and the person without a mask in the scene is a figurative person, and Morty is the first person to see Xia Mo. There is reason to believe that the appearance of Xia Mo is related to Morty's consciousness. But the luck of human beings is the inspection mechanism between conscious and subconscious, including ethics and morals.
RM's choice affects the happy development of this dream, so the protection mechanism turns into "Hecarim" to kill them. Of course, the next level!
On the third floor, they came to a terrifying place and saw Freddie in Elm Street. He was going to destroy everything and could walk through dreams. This should be the archetype of a collective subconscious in human nature.
"Hecarim" is sucking his fingers like a child. I think this scene is to say that in the underlying psychological state of chaos, the protective mechanism cannot provide power to the master's subconscious activities, but is as powerless as a child.
When they escaped, they hid in the dream of a little girl, that is, the fourth floor, but they had no choice but to reach the bottom of the dream, and the scene did not change. Of course, this is also logical, and human psychological activities have boundaries.
RM hides at the reminder of "Freddy". Sneak into his dreams after sleeping.
In the fifth floor, we saw the terrifying "Freddy" who was afraid that he didn't wear pants at school. In fact, school is a nightmare for many children and even adults. After graduating high school, I often dreamed that I was still there. Attend class.
It's also interesting that teachers who teach terror are afraid of being insulted. People who understand horror can't overcome it. "Terror" and "anxiety" are written on the blackboard. They know they are the product of anxiety, but anxiety naturally comes out of nowhere.
After helping "Freddy", "Freddy" started to help them kill the dreamers on each floor, and implanted the idea of giving Morty a good grade to the teacher Gordon Buddha.
After returning home, RM discovered that they were originally in a side storyline.
Because Jerry is dissatisfied with the dog sniffing peeing everywhere at home, he asks Rick to make him smart and put sniff's head in the urine.
During the period when RM was out, Sniff's high IQ made him liked by Jerry and Xia Mo. But the price is finding your own loneliness.
Therefore, like people, he believes that power can be recognized and understood by others. But the reality is that no one will allow you to become like them. That short-lived liking is just an impulse. When he finds that you have the potential to become stronger than him, it is impossible for him to leave you room for growth.
Sniff also recognized the problem from the treatment of dogs in the past. Humans only want you to be what they need, and your power is terrifying.
He resolutely rebelled against his friend. Cage the Jerry family and change his name to Snowball (the name of a pig who led the rebellion in Animal Farm and was driven out during a political fight).
Jerry obviously hasn't accepted this yet, but the right to speak is always determined by power.
Rick returns, but offers to build a stronghold in the sewers. I'm sure he's saying the best advice, but Rick's smarts are beyond comprehension.
Snowball built an army of dogs, took over the world, and castrated all humans. Gave Morty his favorite beauty every night. But Rick Que told Morty it was a dream and made him terminally ill. Snowball is willing to go bankrupt in order to save Morty.
The implantation of this idea made the dogs decide to go to another new world to establish a smart dog society. Rick didn't deprive the dog of his mind, he wasn't so cruel, he knew it was very cruel.
This intelligent dog society is actually another anime "Dog's World" created by the main creator.
In fact, you can't be too afraid of things in your subconscious that don't meet your expectations or exceed your expectations. Human nature is inherently unpredictable, and psychological activities are also established in chaos. Fear and odds don't solve the problem, and ignoring might be a better bad idea.
