You are the big fish in the pond

Just finished watching "Big Fish" last night for Tim Burton.
A simple summary is the story of a father who likes to brag and a son who is rigid and true.
I don't have much feeling for the plot, maybe because there are a lot of these kinds of films, A left or is about to leave B, B suddenly found out or always felt that he didn't really understand A, and then A and B were interspersed with C , D, E... and others recounted A's life. In the end, A and B really get to know each other. "Landscape of Love" is basically the same, although the two films are completely different.
On the contrary, I have a feeling for the two episodes in the play. One is that when Edward was growing up, he hung on the bed and kept twitching. According to the encyclopedia, the goldfish would grow up or not grow rapidly according to the size of the fish tank he was in. The other is that Edward confessed to the host at the circus that he was going to pursue the girl. The host said to him: "You are a big fish in the pond. But this is the sea, and you will be drowned." It
may be related to the recent situation, The mood is related. Seeing these two places, my heart is related.
Maybe life will always reach such a level, stay where we are, we are big fish, we can live very freely. But thinking that there is still a sea outside, I can't hold back, and we also want to jump on the ocean with a fish...
But there will always be people around you who will tell you, "The sea will drown you."
Perhaps, at this time, we can only recite the curse of Edward's curse: "I saw in the glass eyes of the witch, I will not die like this."

  • [talking about the witch]

Zacky Price (Age 10): She'll make soap out of you. That's what she does. She makes soap out of people.

  • Senior Ed Bloom: Most men, they'll tell you a story straight through. It won't be complicated, but it won't be interesting either.
