What is the core of what the film wants to express...?

The special effects are very good, the animals are very cute, the background, characters, and costumes are all good. But I couldn't get into the movie because I couldn't find the story the movie wanted to tell. At first I thought it was about Muggle-Wizard fights, then domestic violence, and then the dark forces among wizards, but none of them seem to be, and then all these plots would not affect the promotion of the plot at all if there were no strange animals. So in the end I don't understand what the script is trying to express? ? It's just a simple introduction to the magic world, maybe it can only attract pure magic fans? Good fantasy novels to me are reflections or attacks on society, not just fancy magic. It's not boring to spend two hours watching those gorgeous magic and fantastic sorcery, but it won't leave too many impressions and feelings after reading it. I don't know why, but it's a pity, as if I saw a handsome guy with no soul.

  • Porpentina Goldstein: And you were just in Equatorial Guinea?

Newt Scamander: And I've just completed a year in the fields. I'm writing a book about magical creatures.

Porpentina Goldstein: Like an extermination guide?

Newt Scamander: No. A guide to help people understand why we should be protecting these creatures instead of killing them.
