A magical world with little magic power

Overall, I liked it, scored 7 and a half, in order to finally be able to return to Harry Potter's world. Still recommend to see it. There are many bright spots, and the shortcomings are also obvious. It is a quite satisfactory movie with small surprises, but it is less magical than the previous films. Hopefully it's all because this one is laying the groundwork for the sequels, which are getting better and better.

Actually, I was kind of looking forward to an adventure movie like Indiana Jones...

Favorite part:
This series of movies is really good at bringing imaginary creatures into reality. Male 1 and Male 2 decide to act together to retrieve the escaped animals, and Male 1 takes Male 2 into the magical old box. I was amazed at that paragraph, and I was moved when I rewatched the third episode. That, ah, the joyous excitement that a Muggle like me could enter the wizarding world.

niffler! A small animal between a platypus and a mole. A must for stealing! The little guy who couldn't walk when he saw shiny things...

The details in Harry Potter's book brought out during the dialogue also moved me like I found an Easter egg.

Between the second male and the second female, I didn't think of it at first, but I really liked the development of the story.

Most special effects. But 3D isn't a huge plus.

And to my surprise, Johnny depp's presence... What I do

n't like:
the tone of the whole movie is whether the magical and human worlds should be separated/coexisted, whether wizards are Muggles superior, discrimination and anti-discrimination. Whether the hearts of non-I races must be different is an issue that has remained unchanged from ancient times to the present, but this movie has not made any new breakthroughs on the basis of Harry Potter, so it feels like a new bottle of old wine. Let's see if the next few will progress.

The characters are drawn too hard, and you can tell who the bad guy is at a glance, which is very face-to-face.

Some parts of the plot are too deliberate. It's that kind of, a good person, how can he suddenly become mentally disabled? Oh, and to make the plot unfold...

a little slower at the beginning. A few camera viewers will understand that the male one is an introverted person who is not good at words, so there is no need to repeat it again and again.

Boring girl one... very glad they didn't kiss. There is absolutely no sense of CP.

I already feel that the internal/external political contradictions in the wizarding world of the New World, the collision of the old and new world ideas, and the tribute to Citizen Kane in the trailer are greatly discounted. . . Unexpectedly, the layout of the main story is ten times worse than imagined! It's just an ugly cgi fantasy creature showcase and sentimental sales! And then, such a tangible villain as Uncle Colin finally became the old Uncle Depp! Ooh!

I hope this world will always exist in a place we don't know.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them quotes

  • Porpentina Goldstein: And you were just in Equatorial Guinea?

Newt Scamander: And I've just completed a year in the fields. I'm writing a book about magical creatures.

Porpentina Goldstein: Like an extermination guide?

Newt Scamander: No. A guide to help people understand why we should be protecting these creatures instead of killing them.

Newt Scamander: [whispers to his case] Dougal... settle down now, please.

    [Dougal grumbles]

Newt Scamander: It won't be long.
