"Crash" look

Teachers have taught us from a young age that we should look at things and people in a comprehensive way, so that we can see the truth and see balance. When I grow up, I realize that it is almost impossible to do this, unless it is God.

Director Paul Haggis played such a god once, showing us a very common small circle in society from the perspective of a bystander under the elephant. Through the bloody statements of racial discrimination, the similar tragedies of the protagonists are shown. White people see themselves as superior and look down on "BLACK", prosecutors glorify black police officers for political needs, and black directors and their wives are humiliated by white police officers. People of color also discriminate against each other, Latin locksmiths and old Persians, black people despise Asians... Everyone is discriminated to some extent, and everyone is trying to find a breakthrough, and they struggle and resist tools But it's all bullets, and the world goes crazy. Think of a sentence: Violence is not the best way to solve problems, but the most effective way is often the way to sublimate conflict.

Yet God is always maintaining a delicate balance in nature that is often buried deep beneath the surface. Through the fragmented development of the fate of several characters, we gradually discovered that these seemingly strong people also have their tragic and vulnerable side, which is typically expressed from the hateful policeman: the mighty policeman has An old father who is deeply ill and has contributed a lot to blacks without returning it. His violence is an outlet for anguish, which twists him into a racist; His wife, and gave his life to save, when the camera is silently aimed at his eyes, you can see that his sins and soul have been redeemed.

Isn’t that the case with us, the pressure of life makes people deformed, impulsive, irritable, numb, depressed, and do things that betray the soul, but what do you get after doing it? Emptiness, guilt, and self-blame are coming, and more people choose to sink in or escape. The regrets in life are increasing day by day, asking the soul, how can we redeem ourselves? Will God give us such an opportunity? Even with this opportunity, have we ever seized it?

Flowers and leaves are prosperous, and they always fall into the soil to nourish the foundation. The sun and the moon alternate, and they take turns to illuminate every corner of the world. They are born and die, bringing countless hopes and taking away countless regrets. A little less regret is actually very simple. Treating everyone around you well is to benefit others who have not appeared; treating everyone well is treating yourself well; one less unnecessary revenge means more families. Peaceful night. The world is very big, but the human world is very small. The diverse and complex social environment has connected you and I have contacted him or her. Everyone's destiny brings a chain reaction, some small, some big, and even affects themselves and changes. destiny. Often people put down their bullets and let go of their fists, only to realize that the world is not so bad, and they are not so confident. There is no love for no reason, and there is no inexplicable hatred. When people look back, they will always find that all hatred is only born out of love.

Everything is predetermined, this is not a superstition, but a natural law. One breath and one breath, life is too hasty, so slow down, think more about yourself, and have a good understanding of life. Although the complexity of society cannot make people live a simple life, after all, you have to think that while abandoning the dignity of others, you also trample yourself together. How should people live? It is necessary to consider the bottom line and conscience of life, and be less motivated by the devil of profit, and more worried about gains and losses in the mind.

After all, Paul Haggis is not a real God. He can only direct a small corner of the world. If this role awakens the world, then as actors and audiences in life, we will not be in vain here.

Because of the crash, I finally watched the long-awaited "Crash". This movie that once made "Brokeback Mountain" miss the best picture Oscar, although I personally don't like it as much as "Brokeback Mountain", it is still a work that has won my favor. In addition, the direct translation of the original English title "Crash" into "Crash" does not feel appropriate. After all, "Crash" is only a related plot point of the story, and the plot focuses more on the conflicts between different races.

Crash quotes

  • Graham: [on the phone] Mom, I can't talk to you right now, okay? I'm having sex with a white woman.

[hangs up, and Ria gets out of bed]

    Graham: OK, where were we?

Ria: I was white, and you were about to jerk off in the shower.

Graham: Oh, shit. Come on. I would have said you were Mexican, but I don't think it would have pissed her off as much.

Ria: Why do you keep everybody a certain distance, huh? What, you start to feel something and panic?

Graham: Come on, Maria. You're just pissed 'cause I answered the phone.

Ria: That's just where I begin to get pissed. I mean, really, what kind of man speaks to his mother that way, huh?

Graham: Oh, this is about my mother. What do you know about my mother?

Ria: If I was your father, I'd kick your fucking ass.

Graham: OK, I was raised badly. Why don't you take your clothes off, get back into bed, and teach me a lesson?

Ria: You want a lesson? I'll give you a lesson. How 'bout a geography lesson? My father's from Puerto Rico. My mother's from El Salvador. Neither one of those is Mexico.

Graham: Ah. Well then I guess the big mystery is, who gathered all those remarkably different cultures together and taught them all how to park their cars on their lawns?

  • Jean: Do you want to hear something funny?

    Maria: What's that Mrs. Jean?

Jean: You're the best friend I've got.
