"Oscar" forced me to interpret

Disclaimer: The thinking seems to be a bit different, and I don't like to be cautious!

It's also one of the Oscars films I've watched recently.

After watching the film, my first impression was that this is a film about race, ethnicity, and cultural conflict. The society in which the characters in the film live seems to be a "sick" society, which is full of ideas about racism and cultural prejudice all the time. It's like reading an erotic novel, where people are more or less always thinking about "those things"!

There has been so much to read about the film's themes, characters, and details. The author is not a professional film critic and can't analyze it more deeply, so I can only judge it subjectively.

In my impression, the Oscar movies are like a series of masterpieces. Although they are simple, they are broad and profound and have endless charm. Most commercial entertainment movies are like best-selling novels. The content is very exciting, but it leaves people's thinking. but limited. Or it can be described in this way, Oscar movies are like exquisite paintings worth thousands of dollars, while commercial movies are like banknote heads. We can say that a Picasso painting is worth millions, but for those who cannot appreciate it, it is Not really piled millions of banknotes there to make one's blood swell. So, Oscar is a niche delicacy, and most commercial movies are like a popular fast-food meal.

From my personal inferences above, this "Crash" is obviously like a painting by Picard, plain and deep. Although it is valuable, it can only be used by those who understand it and like it. It is not denied that the ideological connotation of the film is very realistic and social, but for someone like me who obviously loves fast food, the viewing experience is not enough. Thrilling action movies, big-picture sci-fi movies, and light-hearted, humorous comedies.

We can see from the fact that the box-office receipts of the "Oscar Best Picture" are in most cases less than commercial movies, and most people in this society do not particularly like to read these profound classics, but it has such or Such a dazzling halo, so when we look at these excellent works in the eyes of the Oscar judges, it is difficult to admit that we are shallow, and we have to search for information and watch other people's film reviews, hoping to experience more things. Finally, draw a deeper conclusion. I feel that, in a sense, this is not a compliment to the film itself, but an endorsement of my own efforts to find the meaning of the film. At least, even a lot of the time is the case.

After carefully reviewing this film, I realized that there are not many plots that really remind me. This can't help but make me think of some Oscar films I've seen recently. I found that these films have one thing in common: the scenes are plain, and the films always seem to be a metaphor for something. You can think of the film as a From the perspective of the story, it is also possible to completely separate the story from the corresponding real characters. Regarding the moral of the film, the director generally does not express his intention very intuitively. Basically, he just tells the story, and the moral behind it is left to the viewer to interpret. "Slumdog Millionaire" and "No Country for Old Men" are the same, so are "Millionaires" and "Chicago Song". So watching these films always has a very special feeling, the seemingly calm lake is surging with undercurrents.

There is no fixed protagonist or supporting role in "Crash". The roles of several main characters in the film are similar, and the roles of each role are similar. The focus of the film is the conflicts and contradictions between blacks and whites, but the color of the people in the film is similar. But it almost covers the Americas, Latin America, the Middle East, Asia, etc., as well as all social classes, ranging from locksmiths, homeless, and gangsters to district attorneys, Hollywood directors, and store owners and ordinary police in the middle. Wait, this is a real Los Angeles. From the occurrence of several events in the film, it intuitively reflects the racial, cultural and political barriers and conflicts in the United States, a multi-racial and multi-cultural society, at different times. , Different locations and different environments always play different roles, there is no absolute good and evil, and there is no absolute right or wrong, and different roles are always changing.

Through this film, viewers can intuitively feel the issues related to race, politics, and culture that affect interpersonal communication in today's globalized society. In real life, due to various reasons or skin color, or region, or culture... It always affects people's thoughts. After encountering injuries, people always unconsciously become more impulsive and extreme. , sometimes even inexplicably venting the depression in his heart to unrelated people. The occurrence of conflict after conflict directly or indirectly affects interpersonal relationships and affects people's perception of people of different colors and races. A few details in the film, we can find that in the eyes of white Americans, people from different regions always have a stubborn prejudice. Those in the Middle East seem to be terrorists, and those in Asia are like human traffickers... In an incident, if it involves Blacks and whites have always been linked to racism, regardless of skin color.

However, after watching it, I always feel that some things are inconsistent, as if the director deliberately arranged the plot in order to highlight the theme, just like the setting of the black characters in the film. According to my opinion, even if all the white characters are replaced, the film will be applied to the film. The plot of the film will hardly affect the look and feel, but it is deliberately arranged for black people to appear, plus the opposition between black and white people that was everywhere at that time, the contrived feeling is particularly obvious. Therefore, I personally think that the expression of the theme of black and white racism in the film is not successful.

Besides, I always feel that there are too many coincidences in this story. Of course, as the so-called "no coincidence does not make a book", film is a picture language, and the expression of its ideas is conveyed by dialogue and pictures. In order to express enough intention in a limited time, it must be properly rendered and bridged. design. This will inevitably lead to the continuous occurrence of one event after another. It can be said that the arrangement is compact, or it is a "coincidence". Therefore, too many coincidences appear, which creates an unreal feeling for me. This is actually related to the art of film and the type of group play in this film. If we don’t arrange so many events, wouldn’t the rhythm be slow, not compact enough, too many arrangements, and it seems to be lacking in reality, and there is a bit of a Difficult. People's thoughts may often be contradictory in themselves.

At the end of the film, a group of smuggled Asians came to the streets of Los Angeles, which seems to indicate that people of different cultures, ethnicities and regions in this society will continue to meet, and the phenomenon of multi-ethnic and multi-cultural still exists. A "crash" story also implies that cultural and ethnic contradictions and conflicts will continue.
