The extraordinary ability of human beings is to escalate destruction

Typical Hollywood disaster movie. Excellent computer stunts, grand heroism complex, sensational character design, the end of the play, a group of protagonists Happy Ending.

Frankly, this overly commercial blockbuster didn't touch or move me to much. What terrifies me is definitely not the storm disaster that the film shows in its extreme form, but it is precisely ourselves.

After watching the whole movie, I remembered a sentence from the god of death in "The Book Thief": The extraordinary ability of human beings is to escalate destruction.
