Maybe it's all too late

, on a cold afternoon, I stayed beside my computer and watched "The Day After Tomorrow". I was really shocked by the assumption that the Ice Age would come again. Last time, the dinosaurs were destroyed. Next time, will humans still be alive? Nobody knows.

Just like the last time I watched Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth" in class, I felt scared again and again. It's just that this time, I was the only one watching, plus the unstoppable rain outside the window. From last night until now, the huge psychological pressure has been overwhelming me. So after reading it, I immediately went to Q to find someone to chat with. Indeed, I was terrified.

There is a biological assumption that has always worried me: if the number of the same species in each community reaches the limit of the food/environment, then the number of species will be greatly reduced to achieve equilibrium.

Humans always think that their abilities are strong enough and large enough to change the environment that is not suitable for life. But there are always exceptions. For example, in such bad weather now, no scientist dares to say that he has a way to change the weather and allow human beings to live normally. Therefore, in a sense, human beings will eventually bear the price for their own wanton destruction, which is inevitable.

The movie is very beautiful. In fact, despite the heavy losses, many people survived. Sam also gained love. The director has French romantic feelings. If the reality happens, it is probably not so beautiful.

I also hope that we all remember that, as the hero said, we must learn to reflect after the disaster.

Maybe everything is still too late.

ps Because of "Super Typhoon", I suddenly remembered that I had watched "The Day After Tomorrow" and wrote about the aftermath.

The Day After Tomorrow quotes

  • Jack Hall: I think we've hit a critical desalinization point.

Janet Tokada: It would explain what's driving this extreme weather.

  • J.D.: Sam, just tell her how you feel.

    Sam Hall: Yeah.
