I watched this movie with the mentality of having seen bad reviews, and found that it wasn't that bad. The third part of the first part seems to be procrastinating and lacking intense action scenes, but it is very loyal to the original, accurately conveying the pre-war checks and balances and the existence of Katniss as a rebel idol. Although the film adapted from half a novel is two hours long, the atmosphere creation and the advancement of the plot are relatively successful. Even if the rhythm is slower, it is still attractive to watch.
The actor's performance is also excellent. Julianne Moore's Coin, the president of the resistance army, is calm and restrained, with a strong aura. With her deep-seated appearance, you can see that her ability is comparable to that of the President of the Congressional District, Snow, and her secret wrestling with Katniss is also intriguing. And the performance of the eldest cousin is always so satisfying. The naivety and growth of the teenage girl, the collapse and fortitude who have experienced ups and downs, the fragility and helplessness of being caught up in the whirlpool of times and fate as a revolutionary idol, are all vividly displayed.
Overall, this movie still has surprises, and I look forward to the next release.
