Papa's Elegy

When a man has a daughter, even if he is a wild horse that no one can control, he will become gentle and docile. Because in the eyes of every father, the daughter is the most beautiful angel in the world. If anyone dares to hurt the angel, then just wait and see, the angel's father will become the most brutal devil, making him pay the price with his life. Sean Penn in Mystic River did just that.

He is a grocer with underworld roots who was sentenced to two years in prison for robbery more than a decade ago. At that time, his wife was terminally ill and his daughter was only two years old.

After being released from prison, he re-formed a family and had a child with his new wife, but what he felt most distressed was the daughter left by his deceased wife.

He was told that his daughter had been shot dead, and rushed to the scene of the crime in a hurry, but was surrounded by police officers who were protecting the scene. The father who was under siege was like a wounded lion, and the painful roar was moving.

When he calmed down, he and his childhood friend talked about all kinds of getting along with his daughter.

He swore in front of his daughter's body that he would find the murderer faster than the police and avenge her blood.

For this oath, he used every means to track down the murderer. When he learned that the murderer was his childhood friend, he attacked the murderer, but was later told that he had killed the wrong person.

The blunder has been made and cannot be undone. The cross tattoo on his back symbolizes the heavy cross he bears throughout his life.

I thought that no matter how violent a man is, as long as he is loyal to his family, loves his children, and fights with his life when they are hurt, then he is still worthy of love. The man played by Sean Penn is more about keeping his words and his grudges clear. Although he brutally killed his innocent childhood friend, the audience still can't dislike him from the bottom of his heart, because he is a Cool, affectionate, protective dad.
