The plot development is quite tight, the shots are a bit handsome, and I applaud the real plot in the movie.
Art requires personal heroism, and a biography might be better.
The pirates have been comforting the captain, and in fact they are comforting themselves. “Everything gonna be OK”
The captain asked the pirates "what jobs can be done", "fishing and kidnapping", "no, there must be other jobs", "maybe in America".
The captain is very clear, "The Navy is not here to negotiate. They would rather let the whole boat sink than let you take me back to Somalia."
When the captain jumped into the sea and fled, the SEALs were also airborne, and if the Navy was ready by then, it might have been done by now.
The captain tried to convince the pirates several times. The first time, "You have already got 30,000 dollars, why don't you just leave safely?" The pirates didn't return. The second time they asked the same question, the pirates said, "We still have a Boss." The captain said "I have a boss too"
The US military comes to negotiate, "we are here to help you". Do you believe it?
Internal disputes between pirates, "don't kill him, kill him we all have to die", "idiots, you are all deceived", so clever..
Turning around and complaining to the captain, "It's all TM's fault for him (the captain)", isn't it the pirate kidnapping that you initiated first? ..
The captain felt dead, and finally tried his best to write a suicide note to his family. Not everyone can understand the feeling of directly facing his own death.
With the last "execute", the Sanming pirates fell down, and the last pirate was "taken down" by other personnel who learned the news
Sure enough, his prayers were answered "everything gonna be OK"
